The only thing better than when you get Legend with an off meta list you built is when someone else does it, and today someone from my ingame hs friend list managed to get it starting from below Diamond a few days ago using solely that list. Feels so good.
And another person also got legend, so now 3 ppl have done it. Most successful deck I've made in the past year, very happy.
I hit legend with a Control Warrior deck, with the Silas Darkmoon + Soulbound Ashtongue OTK. It feels so satisfying to tank up to 50 armor then kill some hapless Priest or Warlock with this combo.
It also feels satisfying to hit legend today, after I was one win away from reaching it yesterday only to lose the next 5 games. I guess the game wanted me to wait for another day to hit trash legend.
Really working on refining still but I made a new Ignite Exodia Mage on day 1. Only played a few games so far and have mad a few changes here and there, but I pulled it off once already!
BEWARE animation times! Hemet, Jungle Hunter can be used to set up the combo turn once you have the needed cards. Doesn’t empty your deck, just removes all spells, which should cost 3 or less! This guarantees the Chandler draws the shuffled Ignite.
If you’re interested I hope to have a list up soon!
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Been trying to complete the Rogue Masquerade achievement, and finally got it after many many attempts using a Masquerage Questline Rogue. Garrosh couldn't avoid me forever!
Anyway, that isn't important! What is important is that the final game was against a Questline Spell Mage, and my Wandmaker just happened to give me a Savory Deviate Delight right after this Mage completed their quest! So of course I played it, and of course Arcanist Dawngrasp was the only minion in their hand so it became a Prize Plunderer!
On the flip side, my Prize Plunderer transformed into a Southsea Scoundrel, which I used to gain a copy of Ignite from their deck, and add to the other copy I got off Wand Thief... It was a bit of an RNG Fiesta, but it sure was fun!
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Got the XP quest to play 12 dragons. With no real dragon archetype in the Standard meta (or Wild really) I decided my only option was to MEME! Took me only six tries to live the dream as a Demon Hunter with infinite Hero Powers! And the best part is that it was against a Questline mage who played Arcanist Dawngrasp TWICE! Yes, they used Potion of Illusion generated off a Runed Orb to get a second (1) 1/1 copy. I didn't even pay attention to if the effect stacked, I thought me and my 18 HP were done for. But somehow the Mage had ran out of steam and didn't have any draw or generation spells in the 4 they were holding. So I survived and played Felfire Deadeye, Coldarra Drake and a few other dragons to not only win but finish my "play dragons" quest!
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.

Got a surprise Overlord Saurfang from the golden standard pack (Book of Heroes reward), great! I don't know if there are any playable decks that uses him, I might check that up.
Just one of those days where everything went right for me.
I played Raza Hunter in Wild and went 20-5 with it all the way from Platinum 5 to Diamond 4. It just razed everything in its path (yes, even Darkglare Warlocks) and most importantly, it's so fun to play! It's absolutely satisfying to mow down your opponent with non-stop 3-damage from your hero power. I even had a game where a Shaman healed up with Reno Jackson from 13 to full health, only for me to gatling-gun him down for 25 damage in a single turn for lethal a couple of turns later. Not fun for him, but very fun for me.
I had a good time playing Standard as well with Quest Handlock, lost only a single game all the way to Diamond 1. I know everyone hates this deck, but it's just a very fun deck to play.
To top it all off, I got a golden Ringmaster Whatley from the standard pack reward in the battle pass. This is as good as it gets.
I completed the Yogg Champ achievement yesterday! Quite unexpectedly too. I've had this Quest Mage down to 3 health but I've stalled out, unable to deliver the finishing blow because my stuff keeps getting removed. As a last resort, I play Oh My Yogg!, hoping to prevent the opponent from dealing lethal damage with at least 1 spell.
The Mage then plays a 0-mana Ignite that turns into a Raise Dead. Fantastic. Of course, I have to BM after that, because screw Mages.
Ah , im so happy right now because i finaly Got the "Broadside!" Achievement where you have to kill your Opponent with the Juggernaut. Have been trying for days to do that. Had it set up like 10 times but most of the time the opponent concedes - but not this time.
My opponent even emoted Well Played and let me finish him off with the Juggernaut - i was so happy and also made a new Online Friend because i added him to say thank you and he was realy nice :)
Also i just wanted to say i realy do not share all the Meta Hate right now - i'm having so much fun playing all different kinds of decks (mostly Quest Warrior because of the Achievement) and i have began the climb with Rat King Hunter and played it to Gold 10 - switched to Quest Warrior and played it to Platinum 8 so far.
So I've been playing a Lady Prestor Deck with a Silence Priest Shell = overstatted minions with drawbacks like "can't attack" etc.
Works out as expected, all the Questline Decks in Wild Casual slaughter me. But this one game against a Pirate Warrior, where I manage to stick a Far Watch Post, slow the opponent down, get to play Prestor on curve and play a 2 Mana Ysera, Unleashed plus a Lorekeeper Polkelt on Turn 7, resulting in a full board of big dragons on the following turn - that was worth it.
Had a funny win in Duels yesterday...my opponent was at 15 health, and dropped a Robes of Protection to protect the 4 minions on their board. I only had an Optimistic Ogre on my board, summoned when I cast a Firelands Portal. So figuring all was lost, I just cast Pure Cold to hit my opponent for 8 in the face (with my passive Fireshaper hitting for 1 extra face damage), then decided to trade away my Ogre to their Blood of G'huun. Lo and behold, my Optimistic Ogre went face for the win!
Again, never concede. An Optimistic Ogre lethal! It turns out that 50% of the time, it works every time.

I was playing Deathrattle Ress shadow priest in standard against a questline warrior. (The things this game makes me do in order to play a control deck...) I barely managed to hold on for the majority of the game, and managed to turn the game around into my favor despite The Juggernaut giving them lots of value. But then it happened, the questline warrior got Bulwark of Azzinoth from The Juggernaut 3 times IN A ROW, which helped them stabalize the board back into their favor. So right now you might think that this comment would better fit into the salt thread, but luckely not. Because i BARELY managed to win the game with only 1 health remaining! (And no armor) That was the closest game i've had in months!
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

Played my first game of the expansion, and i was playing Secret BIG Hunter against a spell mage. (One without questline, but still spell-only because they ran Apexis Blast. They also didn't run any new cards.) I was afraid i lost the game when i noticed them playing turn 2 Coin into Incanter's Flow but decided not to concede and play the game regardless, and i'm so happy i did! I kept bouncing spells such as the 2nd Incanter's Flow and all their Apexis Blasts back to their hand with Ice Trap, and i kept discovering more from Rinling's Rifle and Improved Ice Trap from Beaststalker Tavish. This managed to stall long enough for me to play Beastmaster Leoroxx for a huge stat bomb and win the game. Ice Trap has instantly become one of my favorite cards from this expansion!

I've opened a golden Lady Prestor from one of my preorder packs - two free legendaries!
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

I you aren’t aware, the combo goes 1Sanctum Chandler, 2 Sorcerer's Apprentice, and then Ignite into an infinite loop of damage!

I'm feeling extremely lucky today: I bought the Stormwind bundle, and I managed to get a number of legendaries:
Defend the Dwarven District (free)
Seek Guidance (free)
Archspore Msshi'fn
Sphere of Sapience (golden!)
Lost in the Park
Wasn't expecting this haul from the bundle at all! And I'm grateful for those new questlines, I'm definitely gonna try those out. Thanks, RNGesus!

I effing did it, boys and girls. I turn 1 oh-my-yogged a Quest Mage. With a 1k wins portrait, in diamond rank.

I just got a message that someone reached legend for the first time ever with a deck I posted, makes me really happy.

Dear Blizzard....
THANK YOU!!!
For giving us back Wild.
It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Playing Questline Priest on ladder, encountering two Druids in a row who f-cks up the quest good with Celestial Alignment. Won both games anyway. :)
