I was wondering if any of you has or considers getting them a hearthstone tattoo. If so, what motives did you choose? Add pictures if you like :)
I'm not sure yet, but every now and then the idea of doing something with the dragon at the top of legendary cards comes to my mind. Maybe above the collarbone or something.

Not myself, but why not. Some motifs from HS are quite nice looking and it could be as simple as HS swirl or as complex as a full character. Iv seen ppl get tattoos of weirder things, this would not even be that. So i say go for it, if you feel like it. Just make sure to pick an experienced tattoo artist, so you dont end up something like this :D

I was fully expecting images of Lightforged arena reward key tattooed on a bicep when I saw you posting ;)
As to topic itself: I'm not a tattoo person so no. But I don't think it would be a bad idea in general, the game has some cool (or cute, if you like that more) art.

Don't get a tattoo ever. I don't know how old you are, but just think, one day you will be 70 years old and in a retirement home, do you really want a hearthstone dragon on your neck then? or how about, maybe one day you will be working in a office job when you are 50, do you really want a dragon on your neck? or maybe, the game will close down 2 years from now, and you are stuck advertising it on your neck for the rest of your entire life.

I work in an office with plenty of people aged 50+ with tattoos and it's a total non-issue.
Stay away from face and hand tattoos and you should be fine.
I work in an office with plenty of people 50+ who have tattoos and absolutely no one cares.
Tattoos are generally pretty accepted these days, stay away from face and hands and you should be good to go.
fair enough.
I just don't think tattoos are a good idea because they will be there for the rest of your life, and your opinion will change a lot. maybe in a year or so you will think hearthstone is dumb and you will regret the tattoo. well than the only thing to do is shrug and try to ignore it. you gain nothing from getting a tattoo, and one day you will probably regret it.
getting a tattoo is okay (except on the face and hands, as you mentioned) but getting a themed tattoo seems like a big mistake. if you just get a generic kind of interesting looking pattern on your shoulder, that's fine, but getting something from a video game, that is definitely something you will have a different opinion about in 10 years.
but ultimately, this is your decision, so get whatever tattoo you like, at your own risk.

lol, all my tatoos are themed, I mean you get tattoos of stuff you like not something you dislike, I have a tattoo related to my fav band and my fav game, and they've been my favs in those categories for a long time and there is no way it's ever gonna change
oh and I work an office job where a lot of my colleagues do actually have tattoos and no one even tries to hide them, even my manager has a whole sleeve and no one cares
basically if it's not a penis on your forehead than you're fine, and that's how it should be, nowadays tattoos are a big industry in itself and not anymore associated with being in prison or in a gang or whatever, tattoos are art and the body is the perfect canvas
in the end it's to each their own, if you don't like tattoos that's fine too, but don't use a tone suggesting one should never get a tattoo just because you think it's a bad idea, quick analogy would be that I'm a dude and I don't like gay sex but I'm pretty sure there are a lot of gay dudes that enjoy it ;)

You have a point there. But then the question with tattoos always is: what does the person wearing it think about it? What meaning has it for him/her? While the legendary card dragon for exmpale has a very specific meaning of itself, you can easily expand and add some dragon related attributes like freedom, power, fantasy which will keep their significance no matter what happens to hearthstone. (That's one of the reasons I wouldn't do the HS swirl by the way... that would be HS and nothing else.) And of course tattoos don't have to have meaning at all. What might be a themed motive for you might have been chosen for aesthetical reasons only be the wearer.
So yeah, in the end, tattoos are a question everybody has to answer for oneself. I like to encourage a discussion about possible motives, but I wouldn't go so far as trying to influence people whether to do it or not.

Personally, not something strictly HS related. I mean, where I live HS is too niche, so basically the meaningfulness of the tatoo would be wasted.
Some arts in HS are very cool tho, and may be good candidates for tatoos that are more generic and aesthetically appreciated, even without game references.
Either way, I'm just too unstable to ever get a tatoo that could represent me on its own, without myself regretting it in time and wishing a different picture or symbol, instead...
I'm also incredibly scared it would not look as i imagined. I couldn't stand that.
I have a niche tattoo. It's not Hearthstone related but its the Prime Helix from the 40k Universe.
I have often considered getting a Leper Gnome tattoo or a Gnomeferatu tattoo on my shoulder though. I'm getting another for my birthday in a couple of weeks. So that just might be it.... 🤔

Just because tattoos aren't for you, doesn't mean other people shouldn't get them. I have a state job and I'm covered in tattoos. So are alot employees.. in fact tattoos aren't looked down upon as they once were.
Piercings on the other hand look alot more unprofessional in specific job settings depending on what they are. I should know I had my ears stretched to an inch and unless I get them sewn shut I'll always be able to see thru them which I'm fine with.
When I'm 50 , I'll probably still appreciate every film reference I've inked on my skin, when I'm a grandpa and they've gone from art to blobs I'm not gonna give a shit because that'll be the least of my worries if I'm pissing myself or can't get it up anymore.
I don't speak for everyone, but I certainly find comments like yours as ignorant as some old fuck at best buy who told me ink goes on paper..
I don't know about a tattoo, but I've considered some Hearthstone themed decoration. For instance, if I ever host a Fireside to establish my Fireside Tavern you get to create a logo for your tavern. A friend of mine does a lot of wood working, could probably turn that logo for my tavern into an actual wood sign to hang in the house. Either in the office room or down by a basement bar if we have one in the next house we move to.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Just out of curiosity I did a Google image search for Hearthstone tattoos and there are certainly more out there than I would have imagined. Some are possibly more from WoW though.
Pretty sure there was a guy on the old site posted a pic of his kingsbane tattoo, which was pretty badass imo. Not sure if he migrated over here but, if he did, he'll maybe find his way to this thread.
