Ubisoft Announces Assassin’s Creed ‘Codename’ Games

Ubisoft have announced three mysterious Assassin’s Creed games that don’t yet have titles, but there’s a few short teasers to fish information from!

Our first teaser is Codename Red and will be taking place in feudal Japan:

Our second teaser, Codename Jade, will be a mobile title and will take place in China:

Our third and final teaser, Codename Hexe, is the most cryptic of all! No idea what this could be about, except… Celts? Druids? Witches? Sounds a lost like Drustvar in World of Warcraft.

Ubisoft Reveals Assassin’s Creed: Mirage

The last piece of the Ubisoft Forward livestream puzzle, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage has finally been revealed after the game was leaked a short while ago!

Check out the trailer below, voiced by none other than Shohreh Aghdashloo, who seems to be voicing half of the gaming industry’s roles since her awesome role in The Expanse.

The game features a young Basim, taking place 20 years before Valhalla, in Baghdad. Shohreh will be voicing Roshan (not to be confused with the DOTA monster), Basim’s mentor, a true warrior who finds for justice but keeps her former self shrouded in mystery.

The game launches in 2023!

Ubisoft has also released a documentary revisiting the last 15 years of Assassin’s Creed, which you can watch below:

Ubisoft Reveals New Gameplay for Mario + Rabbits: Sparks of Hope, Tease Rayman as Playable Character

Ubisoft Forward is happening right now, and the stream started with a look at the upcoming Mario + Rabbits: Sparks of Hope. The majority of the segment focused on a battle against a giant Wiggler, showcasing the new combat at play and how the titular Sparks work.

However, the biggest news comes at the very end, as Rayman made an appearance after being absent for many, many years. The limbless fellow will be part of the last of 3 DLC packs that will come after the game launches, so it’ll be a while until we see him in action, but it’s good to know Rayman wasn’t forgotten.

Disney & Marvel Games Showcase – World of Heroes

The last world premiere of the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase seems to be, judging by the trailer having real people pretending to have powers in a park, an augmented reality phone game the likes of Pokemon Go (although we don’t think it’ll revolve around catching heroes in pokeballs).

It is worth noting the game is being developed by Niantic, who created Pokemon Go.

That’s it for the showcase! While noticeably shorter than the other events we’ve had over the summer, this was still quite packed with new information. What did you think of Disney & Marvel’s first games showcase?

Disney & Marvel Games Showcase Reveal – Marvel + Skydance New Media Project

We’ve got another world premiere from the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase, this time in the form of… well, it doesn’t seem to have a title yet! Yep, what you’re reading in the title is all we’ve got to go on!

The game will be centered around Captain America and Black Panther, and the bulk of the action in the trailer seems to be taking place during the Second World War, however it’s too early to rule out some timey-wimey shenanigans that could see both heroes jumping between timelines and dimensions!

The showcase continues with more reveals! Stay tuned to get a first look at loads more trailers from Disney, Marvel & Lucasfilm Games properties!
