Free Epic Games Store Titles For Week 43: Saturnalia and Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus
A new week brings us new games from Epic, and one of them is a horror game, fitting for the Thursday before Halloween. The other game is a turn-based tactics game from a franchise that honestly looks to be in the spirit of Halloween 24/7. Let’s get into it!
Saturnalia
Or first title is a horror game with puzzles, exploration, and roguelike elements that just released the day this article goes up. You control one of 3 characters, and your goal is to get out of the haunted town as quickly as possible. What immediately catches the eye is the art style, sporting hand-drawn 2D sprites in a 3D environment.
Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus
Hail the Emperor! Mechanicus is a turn-based tactics game set in the Warhammer 40K universe. You control the Adeptus Mechanicus, the most advanced armies in the Imperium, on an expedition to the newly rediscovered Necron planet of Silva Tenebris. No, I didn’t randomly switch to Latin earlier, but you might want to have the 40K wiki open while playing if you’re not familiar with this universe.
Saturnalia and Warhammer 40K: Mechanicus are free to claim until Thursday. Next week, we have story-rich puzzle game Filament and multiplayer FPS Rising Storm 2: Vietnam to look forward to!
