PlayStation Plus Adds Over 20 Games to Its Catalogue, Including Most Kingdom Hearts Games and Three Ubisoft Games

PS Plus subscribers on the Extra tier and above get a lot of new stuff to play this month! We’ve already covered the Essential stuff for the month, and Premium subscribers aren’t getting anything aside from the Ratchet & Clank games mentioned a few days ago, so this article will only talk about the Extra stuff.

All games listed here go live on the 15th of November. As usual, you can check out how PS Plus stacks up against Microsoft’s Game Pass in our dedicated article. And don’t forget to check if the game you want to play will leave the service soon, as the Blog Post does not specify. Let’s get into it!

Kingdom Hearts Series (PS4)

Do you like Disney? Do you like Final Fantasy? Do you like stories so convoluted it makes the Gordian Knot look like a straight piece of string? Do you have so much free time, your day somehow has more than 24 hours? If you answered “yes” to at least 3 of the previous questions, then Kingdom Hearts is for you!

Kingdom Hearts tells the story of Sora, a young boy who teams up with beloved Disney characters Donald and Goofy, as they visit various classic Disney movies… before the plot goes off the rails HARD! Coming to PS Plus this month, we have deep breath:

  • Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 +2.5 ReMIX, which contains:
    • Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
    • Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories
    • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
    • Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
    • Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix
    • Kingdom Hearts Re:coded
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, containing:
    • Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD
    • Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage
    • Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover (this one’s a movie)
  • Kingdom Hearts III
  • Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory

The only things missing are some mobile-only games and the Re Mind DLC for III, it seems. If you want to give the series a shot, check out the official guide on the Square site. Spoilers, if you want to go chronologically, the first game comes after 4 other games (one of them on mobile) and the movie in HD 2.8.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Special Edition (PS4, PS5)

Ok, time for something a little simpler. Skyrim is an RPG where you play a The Dragonborn, a descendant of dragons, on a quest to stop the baddest dragon of them all, Alduin. The game offers an insane amount of customization for your character, and lets you play the game pretty much however you want.

Tom Clancy Games (PS4 for all, PS5 for Siege)

We have 3 Ubisoft games coming to the service this month, including 3 Tom Clancy titles.

First up, it’s Rainbow Six Siege. This is a multiplayer 5v5 shooter where you either try to maintain a designated location, or try to breach said location. The game is still fairly active and receives updates to this day.

Up next is The Division 2. This is an online, open world, action-shooter RPG that sees you trying to survive in a ravaged Washington DC. Your job is to try to take back the city from enemy factions while protecting civilians.

Last, but not least, is Ghost Recon Breakpoint. This takes place in the near future (which might be the near past at this point) on an island filled to the brim with mercenaries with high-tech weapons and drones. Your job is to take down whoever is controlling the island.

Oddworld: Soulstorm – Enhanced Edition (PS4, PS5)

The original Oddworld: Abe’s Odyssey saw you control Abe as you try to stealth your way through a 2.5D factory full of things that want you and your compatriots dead. Soulstorm takes that concept and cranks it up to 11, with more intricate and dangerous traps to try to navigate your way through.

Chorus (PS4, PS5)

Take on the barrel role of Nara, a pilot with supernatural abilities, and Forsaken, the sentient AI of her ship, in a space shooter like no other. Blast your way trough asteroids and enemy ships as you take on the evil space cult you barely escaped from.

What Remains of Edith Finch (PS4)

Play as Edith in this first-person adventure game, where you try to figure out what happened to Edith’s family. Make your way through the Finch house, with a story that swaps over between Edith and her family members, showing you the last day in the life of each of them.

The Gardens Between (PS4)

Play as two friends that are stuck out of time, in an effort to get back to the real world. Manipulate the flow of time to solve puzzles, and send the duo on an adventure filled with wonder that neither them nor you will soon forget.

Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain and World Brothers (PS4)

The Earth Defense Force series are third-person shooting video games where you take control of a member of the titular Earth Defense Force and fight off aliens. Iron Rain is a more serious take on the franchise, while World Brother has a voxel art style as opposed to the more realistic one the series is knows for.

Onee Chanbara Origin (PS4)

If you played Dead Rising and thought “This needs more anime girls with swords”, this is the game for you. That’s it. That’s the pitch. Hack-and-slash game where you’re an anime girl against a horde of zombies.
