Epic Holiday Gift for December 22nd: Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics!

Hey, a triple! Yep, today we’re getting 3 different games, all of them in the same series, none of them from Bethesda, with the original two Fallout RPGs, and the spin-off Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.

The Basics

Before Bethesda acquired the IP and turned the franchise into the First-Person games we love and/or hate, the Fallout games were isometric RPGs in the vein of Baldur’s Gate or the Divinity series. Unlike most RPGs that are set in fantasy worlds, Fallout set itself apart by taking place in a post-apocalyptic, retro-futurist USA that has been ravaged by nuclear bombs.

The first two games play like typical isometric RPGs, where you explore the world at will, interacting with NPCs and fighting enemies in turn-based combat. Tactics, as the name implies, takes a dip into the strategy genre, sharing similarities with games like Fire Emblem.

The game is free to claim only until tomorrow, roughly 23 and a half hours from now, so grab it while you can! Epic also likes to provide a hint for the next game to become free, so if you want to try decoding the following gift box, let us know what the next title may be:
