Epic Holiday Gift for December 23rd: Encased!
If you’ve got yesterday’s Fallout games but are still yearning for that kind of post-apocalyptic aesthetic, but with a gameplay loop closer to XCOM, then good news! Today’s free title, Encased, might just scratch that itch. Let’s get into it!
The Basics
The game takes place in an alternate-reality 1970s USA, where humanity has discovered The Dome, and enormous and inexplicable artifact, in the middle of the desert. You’ll have to explore the world and fight a variety of enemies in turn-based combat using a highly customizable character, that has access to a variety of builds, before eventually joining one of the factions that rule the wastelands.
The game is free to claim only until tomorrow, roughly 23 and a half hours from now, so grab it while you can! Epic also likes to provide a hint for the next game to become free, so if you want to try decoding the following gift box, let us know what the next title may be:
