Hearthstone

I have tried other card games, but none makes me feel like Hearthstone. Why?

what does this game have that others don’t?

It's been at least a few expansions now where Blizzard has either abandoned weekends or very lightly sprinkled reveals during them. Personally, I'm a huge fan of it since it gives you some time to recover from the week's reveals but man, reveal season seems to have started so slow this time around.

So how do you feel about it? Do you like the extra time to think about the new cards or would you rather get everything out there as soon as possible for full theorycrafting?

Anyone else have this problem? Just logged in, haven't played since yesterday, but no new daily quest. WTF?

I realize I may get flamed for this thread, but here goes:

I've been playing a lot of Death Knight recently, and I've noticed that whenever my opponent draws a Blood Plague or I use The Primus's Runes of Blood ability, I make nomnomnom noises to myself as I eat up that delicious health. I started doing it sort of unconsciously at first, but now I lean into it, smacking my lips with relish. It's stupid and silly, but it increases the fun I'm having while I play.

So, what do all you freaks out there do while you play that makes the game more fun for you? Scream out your favorite minions' call lines when you summon them? Chant FACE or SMORC when smacking the opponent? I'm sure some of you have some silly little things you'd like to share.

Mercenaries doesn't seem to be working for me. All the icons are blank and cannot be clicked on. Issue is on my gaming laptop, but not mobile. Rest of Hearthstone works fine. Any ideas?

I was pretty excited to play the "journey through Hearthstone" Twist arrangement for this month, but I seem to be missing quite a few Legacy cards. Loot Hoarder, Spellbreaker, Stranglethorn Tiger to name a few. I can see them in my general collection, but they are not available when building my Twist deck. To add insult to injury, I faced an opponent who played 2 out of those 3. Anyone have this experience, and know what's going on?

Regarding the bot situation, I'm experiencing the same at the moment. I've decided to try and go for triple legend this month as in all three game modes on EU and so far, I'm facing like 95% bots in Classic. Once you figured out how they work, they're fairly easy to beat and it seems like ranking up is more of a question of patience than anything else. Might yet change though, I've only reached the platinum ranks so far. I'm a little confused why Blizzard keeps the mode alive and tolerates the bots at this point to be honest. 

I've been playing a bit of Classic lately, and with all the rumours flying around about the potential upcoming Death Knight class being added to the game, I thought I'd share a theory.

Back in one of his AMAs, Iksar was throwing a few theories around about what might become of classic, and he said this:

One that replaces classic. Rotates, but not super often. Think Classic –> MSOG, then 6 months or a year later it rotates to something else.

He only mentioned Gadgetzan as an example. What if the next expansion is Northrend-themed, and Classic mode rotates to what was then Wild (or Standard) mode when Knights of the Frozen Throne came out? Or, perhaps more likely, the Spreading Plague/Fiery War Axe nerf patch.

I would be pretty geeked about that as that was the time when I first started playing competitively, trying to rank up and collect cards.

With no new cards being added to the mode, do you think it will become unbalanced and boring?

As an f2p player who joined HS during Kobolds and Catacombs, I am really looking forward to being able to experience what HS was like at the beginning. What cards and decks are you guys and gals going to be playing when it releases? 

I'm probably going to be messing around with some cards which get their nerfs reverted like Warsong Commander.

With the recent announcement, anyone care to share any tidbits or some nice-to-know info?

My take-aways from the announcements:

• Unlike Hall of Fame, no dust for cards that will rotate out of the core set. (I really regret holding onto Edwin)
• No point in holding unto classic packs since the new core set will be free

• Arrives on set rotation this year.
• You get to play with the original 240 Hearthstone cards as they were in 2014 - no nerfs or buffs!
• Your collection gets mirrored - having the current card also gives you the older card.
• This is only with Basic & Classic cards. No other additions have been announced.
• Has its own matchmaking pool and ranked play mode.
• Games you play count towards achievements.
• Cards that were added to the Classic set past 2014 will no longer be included in Classic Packs but instead can be crafted.
• Demon Hunter will not be playable in the format.
