I have a really bad feeling about this weapon. And with 4 durability even....

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
1 mana?! And an effect, more suited to a legendary. Looks like an expensive set to stay competitive.
Makes you think in advance about your actions. Good way to cheat out rush or an extra attack for minions, if I understand this correctly. Cool weapon with interesting potential
The effect is acceptable, but not really useful for odd DH builds. The addition of a 1/4 weapon could be useful to round out turns where hero power + playing a card is too expensive, but experimentation with other weapons has not had great results.
Probably a nice removal tool for hunters.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Odd dh isn't the only dh around specially if you play standard.
That weapon+Blur can be a good combo, summoning a Big Guy with "Rush" and evading face damage.
That expansion supports control DH, and that makes me happy.
By The Holy Light!
that pretty strong. It's also a great tool for any minion that benefits from attacking immediately (and we haven't even seen most of the Hunter cards in this set)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
card seems good for hunter, it allows you to fight back onto the board which is one of the few weaknesses of hunter decks right now. In that way you can kind of just rush any minion from hand.
Also I'm pretty sure you can just go face with the minion then trade after, which is super good
feels better as a hunter card but It could be good in DH too.
The cost to stats is already good enough to see some play, but the effect puts it over the top. Definitely a strong weapon.
too situational in my view ...
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
Pretty good weapon for 1 Mana.
Good card - even tough the Ability makes this a little bit situational or at least you have to think about your attacks.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Its likely more gimmicky than it seems. Candleshot was good because that was a meta without good weapons for hunter, and the immunity actually helps. This one doesn't have immunity and can actually sometimes just destroy your board with inefficient trading.
Also it does like 1 damage, a major downside for both classes to be honest.
Don't forget this with Ace Hunter Kreen means you can remove almost every minion (provide you have minions on board) but since we talk about the hunters, i guess it's not that hard.
This is a very weird effect, but a 1 mana 1/4 weapon is already fair stats, and the ability lets you deal so much damage.
I actually really like how the usefulness of this ability depends heavily on what both players have on the field. Maybe you have a Sea Giant that you want to trade into multiple things using the weapon, but you also have say a Brann Bronzebeard that you don't want to die. Do you trade and let your Brann die? Or do you let their thing live?
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Interesting removal mechanic, but surely (Demon) Hunters want to keep their minions alive for SMOrc? Maybe I'm not seeing something, but this weapon doesn't look all that great.
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
I had not thought about this; that'd be one hell of a combo

This is so weird, I have no idea what to think. I get the synergy with Kreen, but he can attack first and die (maybe, in what order the minions attack is unknown). Could be insane, could be horrible.
Creative idea. The weapon itself might not do much damage, but it could be a way to merge aggro weapon style with big minion or swarm-type decks.

In DH you will mostly hit by 2 with your hero power, so this by itself seems powerful.
I'm not quite sure about the ability, seems to do more good than bad but still it is a weird ability.
Hunter's last 1 mana weapon, Candleshot, saw play in construction until it rotated, and why wouldn't it?
it was cheap, flexible, it gave your hero immune while attacking and could be slotted into the popular spell hunter deck at the time (and other decks, for that matter).
This weapon is also cheap, flexible, but trades immunity for giving your minions rush or even a second attack phase like Hunter's The Beast Within, although instead of a random enemy minion it will attack whatever you attacked.
The best outcome is to have your minions do favorable trades or go face, and then use this on a high value target to have your board go after that threat so no damage missing.
And if you're running this weapon in your deck, you'll want to be running Ace Hunter Kreen, whose ongoing effect makes you and your minions immune while attacking on your turn.
Taunts are sort of a problem with this weapon, if you attack it first with your hero your minions will use their attack phase on it.
Really cool idea for an ability, which could potentially give your minions a second attack on something. It might be too hard to take advantage of though, because you're still take full damage if you attack something large (I guess that's where Kreen comes into play?) or waste the ability attacking something smaller. Speaking of Kreen, the interaction with him is kinda cool.
I find it really hard to rate this card. On its own it's a really nice weapon: a 1-mana weapon with 4 charges is no joke. I struggle to think of the type of deck you could use it most effectively though. I think this is great with deathrattles (Face Hunter would looooove this). A big demon deck for DH could make use of this too; getting free attacks from big minions before they can hit face is a fantastic outcome. This is also a good way to immediately cheat out a big demon from your hand using Fel Summoner--equip the weapon in the early turns, play Fel Summoner then kill it via trade, summoning a demon from your hand.
This doesn't look like a good early game tool for DH, since the class is all about tempo and board control and it makes no sense to just kill off their minions via trades, unless they get some face damage in first. The synergy with Ace Hunter Kreen is there, but it also means Kreen will attack too, which is a problem because he doesn't benefit from the immune he provides other minions.
I'm flabbergasted. What an interesting action. I find it very hard to evaluate.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Doesn’t really look that strong to me in hunter, given how much more damage you’ll probably end up taking because of it. Demon Hunter has enough healing that it could work though
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
your *other* characters so he might kill himself if the attack order is random/summon order.
hope the attack order is from left to right (like in battlegrounds) that way it has some element of decision making.
Definitely a design I've seen in some custom card. Still, it's pretty interesting and I like to see that they're pushing control Hunter and DH.
Interesting card. Not sure of its value.
My first impression is its a pseudo rush card. Drop your minions, equip this, then rush down the target.
I feel this finds a home in a token based DH deck where you don't really care if your minions/token value trades. Token decks have more value when minions die.
Might be interesting with Poisonous minions and double attack posibilities but probably it will be used mostly as a deathrattle or combo activator because it simply gives minions rush.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
Immediatly thought about Ace Hunter Kreen's synergy
At (1) mana, this is crazy-good!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Super strong card! 1 mana and cancel the "evocation weakness". In hunter is 5 star for sure meanwhile in DH it is slightly worse because often you will go face with our hero
The way I see it, this can give your minions a pseudo Windfury. Not only that, it can easily be a 2 attack weapon in DH. That being said, it faces stiff competition in DH with Umberwing on tempo builds. In Hunter, however, it can replace the old Candleshot, which is a good spot it can fill.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
This has two main uses going for it: giving your minions that just entered play rush and killing off friendly deathrattle minions. DH doesn't want to run this since they don't really have those synergies. Hunter might run this weapon, but I don't see it in Highlander Hunter as Desert Spear is the more tempo-oriented weapon in that deck. If a Deathrattle Hunter pops up, they will run this as a cheap proactive way to trigger deathrattles. I don't see a Deathrattle Hunter working this expansion, but that doesn't mean it won't work an expansion or 2 from now.
For glory, honor, and gold!
O.o WUT?
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Cool card and effect
Grweat idea for a card
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Interesting effect, might pop up in a few lists one day.
This card is insane. Paired with the ‚all attacks have immunity‘ its a nice board clear without losing tempo.
"How loooong can this go on?" - some hard working Saronite
If you have no minions, at least it serves as a substitute
and also triggering all your Deathrattles in one attack!
It could be used to trigger deathrattle minions. It's going to be a tricky card to use.
I will give it props, it makes you think of how to position your minions. Aside from that it you need to attack the minion directly and you don't really get to choose what minions trade into it
All hail the banshee queen.
How this card works? Will the minions stop when the target dies?
This card is really cool but also really hard to evaluate. I can either see it in every single Hunter or Demon hunter list, or not being played all.
I don't think this is going to be desirable in either class because of the forced minion attacks. Both classes have weapons that are much more desirable for the current play-styles of each class, and this weapon's effect doesn't seem good enough to create its own archetype (unlike Stormhammer).
Obviously, this is very strong with Ace Hunter Kreen, but that combo isn't going to happen every time you attack with this weapon (and it might kill Kreen).
A great card for both classes. You just need to remember to attack with the minions first and THEN attack with the weapon.
Great little toy for both classes. With some deck building, board positioning and careful attacking, turns your buddies into a lynch mob. And DH can sure use +1 attack for 4 turns for (1) with all the support.
May be valuable
-=alfi=-
This with good Ace Hunter positioning enable to remove big threats free
Love the art, and it's even better golden. Keen to see it in action, but I think it'll be used into certain decks like control
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I forgot about Blur. Thanks for the nightmares lol.
Really nice if the player doesn't make a stupid mistake and attack with the weapon before attacking other minions or the opponent's face with all their minions. Can't wait for the Trolden clips... really!
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Very strong card, since it essencially can give your minions Rush. Now that Demon Hunter has access to some extra healing via Soul Fragments, I can definitely see this being included in lots of decks.
I assume the minions stop attacking if the target dies, which means positioning will be very important - or you can just make sure your Ace Hunter Kreen is all the way to the right and you're good =P
Welcome to the site!
So I got it from a pack and wanted to confirm: The attack order is from your oldest minion to newest. This means that the Ace Hunter Kreen synergy is much better than we thought since if you play him just before attacking, he will attack last and therefore not attack at all most of the time.
I have just realized that the forced attack from [Hearthstone Card (lunar crescent) Not Found] is free: this means the minion can still attack normally afterwards, if it survives ofc.
Basically a minor version of windfury, board-wide.
Or, otherwise said, a reverse Warglaives of Azzinoth.
Faced it in combo with Ace Hunter Kreen is basically game over. While I knew of Kreen already, I didn't realize Crescent is a HUGE comeback tool.
Thank you Blizzard for another expansion of DH making any other Tempo deck look silly in both Standard and Wild...
