hell yes, that's kind of stuff I was looking for. A strong lategame AoE that also heals. Control Shaman is finally real.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

A bit late in the game for an AoE spell that only does 3 damage, but the stabilization potential is super strong.

The effect is really powerful, but 8 mana is probably too slow for this to be good.

Quite nice AoE + heal effect, but I'm not sure that any shaman deck needs this right now.

Compared to the other board clears in shaman, this is very expensive and doesn't do a lot of damage.

Shaman's healing suite is not the best in the game, but cards like healing rain are probably more reliable sources of healing than this.

This post is discussing the wild format.

The healing potential is insane, although it also seems really slow on 8. Then again, Hagatha had the same AoE damage on 8 mana and that saw play, so maybe this will as well.

Flavor fail for one thing. Next up it’s Hagatha hero card with (hopefully) more healing but no lasting effect.

Im a control shaman main and I can tell you the card suffers because it can be a little late to save your ass unless your Scheme or whatnot has saved you already. Alternatively yes it can be the nail in the coffin to aggro if you do wipe their board late with this and heal up.

will really have to see this one in action

8 mana and does not remove big threats does not seem too good, and you need a lot of spell power to make this remove 8 life creatures like the boards filled with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza

On paper this looks nuts. But the real question would be 1) is it better than Earthquake and 2) is it better than Walking Fountain.

On both counts my answer would be no. Even if it fully heals you back, its not likely to kill anything, so in reality you've just bought a Frost Nova that only sometimes prevent you from dying.

Walking Fountain heals for a mere 8, but will mostly remain on board and it can usually be counted to to make at least 1 kill. And Earthquake straight up kills most minions, the reason for playing an AoE. I'd rather have an AoE that does the job, than delay death by a turn.

Looks realy slow at first but i think for Control Shaman this card is awesome despite beeing 8 Mana. Control Shaman mostly has lots of tools to stay alive until this one can be used.

I think this is very good!

Really good card for the late game! It basicly counters things like The Forest's Aid and Cycle of Hatred. Solid card, but i feel like shaman will only run 1 copy of this in control shaman. Also this will certainly see play in a highlander control shaman list.

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

Lol i'm not expecting we get the art from the trailer. This only good against medium-number-small-stats board i think, but maybe you could run it as a 1-of or get it from discover.

The idea for this spell to cost 8 is just beyond me.

But nice, spell shaman has a way to stabilize late.

During Knights of the Frozen Throne Priest received one of it's most powerful and popular board AOE spells - spirit lash - a 2 mana spel that dealt 1 damage to all minions and had lifesteal. While it doesn't sound incredibly powerful Priest was able to utilize this spell for incredible health gain and board removal for only 2 mana, often times using it to refresh their death knights hero power.

Now, lifesteal that deals 3 damage to all minions for 8 mana sounds incredibly expensive compared to Spirit Lash, but keep in mind one of Shaman's most powerful AOE's was the 8 mana Hagatha the Witch that debuted during the year of the Raven, and she only did 3 damage to the entire board. This spell does 3 damage that can be increased with spell damage and restores that much health as well.

This is an AOE and health restore spell in one package, making it incredibly efficient. Thanks to Shaman receiving Rune Dagger that gives an additional +1 spell damage the turn you attack with it to increase damage and health received, plus Primordial Studies that can discover AND discount this card I believe this card will absolutely see play. If Vashj Prime draws this card this becomes and incredibly efficient 5 mana AOE board clear that restores health.

I can see this as a 1-off in an old-school control shaman. A potential boardwipe vs. aggro that also heals you to full is not something we should take for granted. Considering there's lots of token stuff happening in multiple classes, this could definitely shine.

This is not for you to clear the entire board like twisting nether, this is basically a full heal with a small damage added to it.

    I'll boop you

Guys what about the spell damage weapon? You forgot that exists, then it's 4 damage! I wouldn't underestimate a full heal + board clear it's like the perfect aggro killer, sure it costs 8 but you got ways to survive otherwise.. "it's too slow" it is but shaman got other aoes and answers as well as this.

Oh, yeah! Kill the Board and heal for a Ton is right up my Alley.

The only Problem is that 3 Damage AoE for 8 is pretty weak. You'll probably need either your Wrath of Air Totem or Rune Dagger up to really finish some Stuff off.

Great in a control Shaman deck. But . . . I don't think that this is the season for Control Shaman to shine, even when they get cards like this one.

Nice to see some more decent aoe for shaman, with the amount of spell damage they are potentially packing now it could be a full board clear and heal as well.

This card is pretty good in Control Shaman, especially when combined with something like Rune Dagger or Mo'arg Artificer. Problem is, Control Shaman still does not have a real win condition, so I don't think that this will see a lot of play.

I like the support for Heal Shaman, but this might be just out of the range of playable even though the effect is ridiculously strong.

8 mana for 3 damage is a steep price, but maybe the Lifesteal makes up for it. We'll have to wait and see, but I'm not sure this is going to cut it, especially since Walking Fountain exists.

Looks amazing honestly, and with the spell damage totem it adds 4 extra health on top of another health from each other minion

Who needs consistency when you could have fun?

3 damage to the board may not totally clear it most of the time, but against aggro or midrange you just healed back to full or close to it.

A little slow, but if you can survive long enough to play this it could swing the game in your favor depending on how many enemy minions it clears while not killing too many of yours.

Quick!  Someone give me something clever to write here.

    Aoe+heal.

And with spell damage support that can be a huge game swing.

It's an expensive card, but the Healing makes it worth it. As an avid Shaman player, I often find that I'm doomed if I can't win in the mid-game. This should help make the late game transition easier, and may even save me from lethal if played right.

As a bonus: no Overload. *click* Nice!

Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.

While a 3 damage AoE for 8 is slow, this provides a lot of control synergy with the potential massive healing, unlike Cycle of Hatred which seems at odds with itself. The issue with this card is more of one of deck context in that control Shaman doesn't have a great win condition going into Scholomance, but I think if the archetype gets one, Tidal Wave will see play then.

While I like lifesteal a lot, this is another card where the cost makes me wonder how useful it will be by the time you get to late game. Minions then will likely have much higher health than that.

It may be useful if you can discount it or play it with spellpower, otherwise it just seems rather weak for its cost.

That is so much Healing, and with the focus on Spell Damage this expansion I can see this being insane.
