IMO 2 mana 3/1 won't be played. Easy to kill with everything.
Might find a place in support heavy deck.

Not as broadly useful as the Gift Giver, and you'll have to work a bit too hard to get multiple gems out of it.
Even in a buff/support deck, there are much better options for 2 mana.
I agree with Vino and 40--this seems OK for expedition, but in constructed you're going to find better early-game units. Reminds me a bit like Vanguard Defender: fine on paper, but in practice there are 40+ other cards you'd rather have in your deck.
