Question about Vault chests.

I was just thinking when opening my chests today. What if you just save your weekly chests for the expansion? Will you get expansion cards or do the vault chests only drop what was available at the time? Also can you even stack up weekly vault chests or do they just reset every week?

The same vault will remain until you open it I believe. Meaning you could keep building one up but it is much, much slower and much worse return as it grows. So in the end you will just be losing out if you try to save it over multiple weeks, at least if I'm right on that.
Okay. Thanks.

I don't know if you're able to save up multiple vaults, but I do believe you will start building a new vault after the reset instead of building upon your existing one even if you refuse to open it. I think I've seen that happen once but I'm definitely not certain as I tend to open them right away.
I don't know the exact mechanics of the vault, but I am completely confident that you cannot save it until the expansion.
You cannot save a vault. If you dont open it before 2nd reset, you lose the rewards. Meaning you have a week after reset to claim your rewards, or you lose them. I tested this by accident lol :p

As an aside: even if it did work the way you hoped it did, I don't think it would actually produce as many Call of the Mountains cards as you might expect. Just look at how few Rising Tides cards you are getting each week: that's a 111 non-champions out of (111 + 294 = 405) = ~27% chance. Aug 26 will add 82 new non-champions, so the odds of getting one are only ~17%.
Long story short: if you have a nearly full collection and are exclusively interested in the new cards, you're looking at either crafting or unlocking through the new region rewards. Your vaults will continue to be mostly duplicates, wildcards, and shards.
