I like that trundle himself costs 5 instead of 8 and generates an 8 cost card instead, already thought such a card would come.
A strong body thanks to the regeneration and the overwhelm becomes the finisher.
The attack may seem meh but getting +1 or +2 attack potentially with every attack is really strong on a overwhelm unit.
Ice pillar is a good generated card the fact it returns your mana and probably gives you atleast 2 vulnerable targets before it gets destroyed, and destroying it is pretty hard thanks to the 8 hp except for Noxus with the kill any unit below 3 attack spell.
Having Trundle in play and drawing another Trundle is also good to proc your other behold cards in case you already playing Ice pillar.
- Edit
apparently behold also works if an 8+ is in play.
Trundle is interesting, and not at all what I was expecting. In many ways, his L2 + Ice Pillar resembles L1 Sejuani: 6+/7 with overwhelm and regeneration, and your opponent's strongest unit is vulnerable. Obviously there is much more setup involved to get a L2 Trundle + Ice Pillar than L1 Sejuani, but at the same time the latter is usually just a single-turn tempo play whereas the former provides pressure every attack.
Since Ice Pillar refunds its mana cost, it's basically like Enlightened but for 8 Mana. Trundle also provides a very good body that can take down a lot of units and survive, so even if the game ends before turn 8 he's still good.
4/6 body with regeneration is something to respect.
Strong behold support, and once leveled up (and it doesn't require any special deck building to level up) it slowly gains a massive attack.
Freljord received a very strong and versatile champion.
If you have a champ slot free in a freljord deck..yeah play trundle, why not? he seems strong stat line and works without even having support.
The support seems bad, but so was the toss mechanic maybe a taragon champion will make this make more sense. maybe Aurelion Sol.
Might be a bit of a sleeper? 6 damage is not easy to deal in one round right now, so I suppose at worst, this will eat up a lot of your opponent's resources, and if you can level up, it's what - at least a 6/7 with Overwhelm and Regeneration?
My initial reaction was that this isn't a flashy card so therefore not great, but it actually seems fairly solid.
