This looks like a fun card. Trade your whole board away and get a hand full of random legendaries to provide fuel for the late game. I don't think it will be played much in serious decks, but it will be fun to screw around with every now and then.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
exactly what shaman needed to be good. /s Just disappointed to see this as an epic slot.
Card art is nice and cute, seems like it could be good meme.
Can they print less "hearthstone" cards.. Why would a murloc deck want a value generator that doesn't generate murloc..
What, this reminds me of Witch's Cauldron
I hate designs like this. Having access to value a deck shouldn't have, paired with a lot of randomness.
That said, I do not expect this to be good. No Shamans outside Murlocs will even consider, and the lack of actual Murloc synergies means that it's likely a one-off or a meme inclusion.
Spider Tank murloc... damn, might try this in wild, but I don't really see it in Standard...

"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Fun card, but I don't think I'd want Random Legendaries for my Murloc decks. Wouldn't mind getting it off of Underlight Angling Rod though.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Good refill for murlocs shaman but... Murlocs shaman still exists?
By The Holy Light!
5 points for a being a 3/4 for 3 murloc, which is a good deal of bulk.
0 points for the Cult Master effect that turns murlocs into legendaries
So I guess, its just an average card. Had the effect been similar to Underbelly Angler it would've been great, but requiring that murlocs first be dead? Thats a bit too much an ask
Maybe good in Murloc Shaman as a way to transition against control decks? It has at least premium stats, so that might be enough get it run.
Slightly off topic but that frog looks seriously scared (to be fair I don't blame it)
Disclaimer: if the above is factually incorrect or complete rubbish it is definitely both intentional and comedy genius.
Great fun card for murloc shaman, but i don't think this will see any play outside of decks with murlocs. The only murloc shaman uses outside of murloc decks is Sludge Slurper. BUT i feel like they might add a few more murloc related things this expension. After all, this is like the 3rth or 4th shaman card revealed so far? Who knows? Maybe they will ad a "summon 3 1/1 murlocs with rush" card, if they do, then Magicfin will be a great value card. Actually the only card that has a similar effect is Call in the Finishers. The only other synergy i can think of is that this could be a "hand refill" for aggro shaman decks, after their opponent cleared their board, and now only have the 1/1s from Soul of the Murloc. Also this is one of the only murlocs that actually has normal/premium stats for it's cost. So that's really good.
Standard: Of course murloc shaman, and some other aggro shaman lists that include Soul of the Murloc. Might see play in value shaman IF shaman gets a card like Call in the Finishers or better.
Wild: This will 100% see play in Murloc shaman. Murloc shaman might not be THE most popular shaman deck in wild, but it still is one of shamans best archetypes and it has lots of support.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
It won't see any real play as it's a card that only works in Murloc decks and the support isn't actually conductive to any Murloc gameplay styles.
But at least a few people will run it for style points, so I guess it has that.
Eh, as long as Underbelly Angler exists, Murloc Shaman always has a shot at being relevant. The fact that this card can both be randomly generated and provides fuel for an aggro deck will make me think that it will have some experimentation but overall, the archetype will be dropped or prove to be a downgrade of other popular aggro decks.
This ain't no place for a hero
I've never liked anything about Murlocs, so I'm totally fine with this card being as stupid as it is.
This looks like a fun card and will be good for the memes.
Well, I guess we may be seeing a LOT more Murloc decks now.
not really a good reffill for murloc decks ,random legednaries arent good (and espcially not in wild) and murocs are aggro they dont want or need lategame value
Generating random legendaries is a very broad set, and most murloc decks won't want or be able to use the majority of the cards this generates. I doubt that this will see much play.
This post is discussing the wild format.
I really really really hope dont get more murloc stuff this expansion. They should focus on enhancement or totems(for the legendary) not print random filler murloc
Woah - now murlocs can generate legendaries ?! - that could be very good, or at least annoying to play against
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Not a good card, will most likely be played in meme decks. This could be used as a late-game play though, but sacrificing your board of murlocs is a disaster for a murloc deck. Besides, generating random legendaries isn't as good as it sounds.
Nightmare Amalgam, you don't need a spider tank of any other minion type.
Don't know how to evaluate this card...It just feels oddly placed in this expansion. The "theme" of shaman this time is Enhancement Shaman with weapons so this will probably be a dead card till Shaman gets more murloc support next expansion, unless they release some more murlocs
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I agree completely. I really hope for the shaman players that they won't make shaman irrelevant for another expansion...
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
So, if you highroll on the board early game murlocs into Bloodlust doesn't work out, you can still have a fighting chance late game. A pretty mediocre fighting chance, but it's there.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
i agree but i will only be good in a good murloc shaman and as of now that doesnt exis
TOTAL CORRUPTION
TOTAL POWAAAAAAA
RANDOM LEGENDARIES GO! I guess with that one guy who adds a murloc to your hand and this you could get like a pseudo Rafaam
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
This basically suffers the same weakness as Chopshop Copter in that it encourages trading in aggressive tribal decks that want to hit the face. That being said, this is a Spider Tank statted murloc that might just be useful for playing on turn 3, but Shaman is so in the gutter at the moment that Murloc Shaman is hardly being considered for standard competitive viability.
For glory, honor, and gold!
Let the shitshow begin. It has high health is worth 3 mana. And gives you insane value in a deck that is designed to spam murlocs til you run out of cards, i don't know why blizz is so for aggro decks having value when control is already on it's last legs already.
Living like that.
Most useless epic in the set. Give Murloc shaman something better going into the new year.
"Some inspirational quote from some famous person" - Some famous person
Stats are fine, but the legendary card pool contains too much junk so I do not think it is good enough for constructed.
Nothing more than pack filler. Fun meme, but trash.
Too many legendary minions are niche for this type of refill to be worthwhile.
Gonna be a broken card but seems fun to play and i actually prefer that should be legendary tho
All hail the banshee queen.
Good for memes and maybe a "soft-taunt" minion for your opponent but I don't think this is one of the best murloc that shaman can get.
Xbox gamertag - Psymonjet
Absolute trash, goes against everything that a murloc deck tries to do (early game tempo, explosive wide boards) and what does it give you in return? Random expensive cards that usually require synergies that aren't in your deck to be any good.
Murloc Shaman making a comeback after so long?
Let's repeat together, "Random Legendaries are bad." Murloc Shaman doesn't want to trade, Murloc Shaman wants to go face. This is incentivizing Murloc Shaman to trade and the payoff is likely bad minions that you still have to pay mana to play.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
I love him. He's bad, but I love him. I've come to learn that if you make any card random enough (and slap the word Legendary on it somewhere) then I'm going to want to play it.
Welcome to the site!
This one is interesting. As with other cards, it looks strong by itself, but what deck do you put it in? A full murloc deck doesn't want to generate random legendaries. Decks without a lot of murlocs just won't generate consistent board states where this is useful.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
