  • 2 fire flies in one kind of.. I dunno about elemental mage that deck NEVER worked.. grand finale.. IDK I really am not that big optimistic about it after so many tries to make that deck work.

  • Its pretty cheap for what it generates and make the elemental played last turn requirement easy to (over) achieve

  • This card just has such a neat design and can singlehandedly trigger Elemental Allies

  • I think if Elemental Mage is ever going to work, it is going to be because of cards like this. The problem is that this is the only card like this, and this one card alone isn't going to provide mages with enough elementals to make the whole deck work.

  • Finally easy way to enable side quest. But Really depends on whether particular type of deck works in constructed, in arena it is just good

  • Really efficient way to complete the sidequest on curve, will be the keystone in making Elemental Mage work in the coming year.

  • Ok, so we have fuel for Grand Finale

  • Not bad.  Not good.  But for Arena this helps the board a bit

  • Strong as hell, this is even good with just Mountain Giant

  • As a standalone card, this is very good. As a tool for elemental mage, this is also very good. But elemental mage is very bad. So for now, this is mostly just a sidequest enabler with a really decent body overall attached.

    • Yeah, that's the only reason they made this. Of course, it's good with Ozruk too, in Wild.

  • Elemental synergy + small elementals in hand + broken ass cards like Elemental Allies.

The card even has vanilla stats. Like is there any reason for mage to not play this card?

  • Competitive statline, creates tokens for Elemental synergies while also making Mana Giant cheaper. For some reason I'm still not feeling it. Maybe I feel Elemental Mage is still missing that something to push them into an actual deck.

  • Extremely strong card. Also finally makes Elemental Allies a viable card on it's own. Elemental Allies fuels Grand Finale, and triggers Animated Avalanche. And in wild you can upgrade Lesser Ruby Spellstone more easely. Confection Cyclone also has great aggressive stats for it's cost. I have seen people compare it to Fire Fly, and i can kinda see it. Fire Fly is better turn 1, but Confection Cyclone gives more elemental tokens. So that's better for Elemental Mage Decks, and i understand why it's an upgrade. After all, Fire Fly is a neutral card, and Confection Cyclone is a class card. Class cards are supposed to be a bit stronger then neutral ones. Confection Cyclone seems like a solid card that i wish was neutral, just so Wild elemental shaman could have had acces to it..

Standard: Elemental Mage, Tiny spell mage will probably add Confection Cyclone and Elemental Allies, and it will see play/experimentation in highlander mage in some kind elemental package. (Not sure if it beats the dragon package, but it might make it so there will be a lot more diversity in highlander mage decks.)

Wild: This will see play in Elemental mage obviously, even though it's not the greatest of decks. But other then that i honestly am not sure... Mage decks in wild are generally just Casino, Secret, Highlander and Open the Waygate OTK... Oh and the meme that is mech mage. And i don't think either of those 5 decks want Confection Cyclone. Otherwise they would have slotted in Fire Fly, but they never did.

  • if ele mage takes off, it's coz of this card

  • This is a really funny card.

It's very good for [Hearthstone Card (Elemental Mage) Not Found] and it's good fuel for Grand Finale, although there aren't enough Elementals for that to work in Standard. Otherwise though, it's a stronger Fire Fly and can single-handedly complete your Elemental Allies, so I can see it being used even without as much Elemental synergy.

  • Isn't this like that one elemental but instead of a battlecry its a deathrattle good though gives some fuel for grand finale and maybe some activators for elemental mage which I still don't think will be a thing

  • Grand Finale fuel. Maybe it can be seen in wild with Frost Lich Jaina

  • Very cute card. and an obvious target for elemental mage. don't know if it'll work out but it has good flavor.

  • If an elemental mage is going to work, it's gonna be because of this guy.  Hopefully, next year has better support for elementals, they are my favorite tribe by far.  Still think it could see some play with a more tempo-based highlander mage.

  • Fire Fly's bigger cousin

  • This card will make or break Elemental Mage. Essentially a bigger Firefly that gives +1 Elemental.

  • I've always underestimated token generators, both to hand and on board. This will probably end up better than what I expect.

  • Fine for grand finale or chaining elemental dependencies, but it still seems too slow for wild.

  • great stats for the cost and elemental usage

  • Even though I don't think Elemental Mage synergies will work out, I can't deny the Fire Fly level of universal flexibility of this. Confection Cyclone could see play in every Mage deck that cares about tempo, like Small Spell Mage, as it helps fill your curve extremely well.

  • I love the artwork on this card and want to see it in golden. The card is additional support for Grand Finale.

  • I like it, it's basically "If you played an Elemental" activator, giving you multiple tokens to weave over multiple turns.

  • I mean, obviously you put this in any Elemental mage deck. Does it have any legs in Standard though? Maybe, since you can more easily pull off the Elemental Allies sidequest now and pull your Grand Finale or something.

  • If elemental mage can be good, it's because this is sweet. Hahahahahahahhahah!

    Fire Fly on steroids.

    But elemental mage looks bad.

  • Not amazing on its own, but it has Elemental synergy so it might see play if Elemental Mage becomes a thing

  • The return of the Fire Fly. Its synergy with Elemental Allies might actually be strong enough that this makes it into spell-based Mage decks that otherwise don't care about Elementals. This is the backbone of any actual Elemental deck.
