New Demon Hunter Minion - Felsteel Executioner

An ok minion, but an exceptionally strong weapon.  It's really easy to corrupt and having another 4 attack weapon makes it that much easier for DH to get the max benefit from Bladed Lady.

Interesting card. Seems good with Y'Shaarj, the Defiler for a free 4/3 weapon. But outside of that, it's a bit outclasses as a weapon by Marrowslicer. Sure Marrowslicer has 1 less durability, but Marrowslicer is a better topdeck then Felsteel Executioner. I don't think some kind of control DH deck with N'Zoth, God of the Deep would run this, because it's just a 4/2. And i don't think the words "Demonhunter" and "Control deck" fit in a single sentence... 

Standard: Dunno what kinda deck wants this, maybe aggro DH? But i feel like they prefer to run Satyr Overseer instead on their 3 slot.. But i dunno if they would add Felsteel Executioner purely to get a weapon...

Wild: This fits in ODD DH, and in ODD DH Felsteel Executioner hardly has any competition in terms of weapons. The only other weapon ODD DH can run is [Hearthstone Card (Aldrachi Warglaives) Not Found]. So i'm pretty sure ODD DH is running it.

THis has a LOT of potential.  Late game, when a 4/3 may not be as beneficial, having turn into a weapon could be really awesome.  On the other hand, if you get a really crap weapon, then it's less then thrilling. 

a 3 mana 4/3 weapon is super strong. That is 12 damage over the course of three turns. And you probably won't mind waiting for this to be corrupted since demon hunters will have a lot to do in the early turns anyway. All around this seems like a generally strong card, I expect this to be played in a lot of demon hunter decks moving forward.

Very interesting. The way corrupt interacts with odd/even decks makes this unlikely for odd DH, but it definitely has potential.

Don't know if this is a 5 star, but I'm giving it anyway since it made me spit my drink.

Very good stats... that is about all it is... But might be good enough, definitely in arena will be good.

Any midrange DH will use that card.

Good as tempo Minion and extremly good as weapon.

This is a custom HS card since day 1 of custom HS card.. this is so strong though 3 mana 4/3 weapon for DH? what were they smoking?

I like the unique effect, but I think the card is OP.

That's what I was thinking. It's a versatile card that could be useful in both early game as a minion, and late game when you can deal 4 damage on the same turn when it's a weapon and you're looking for that final push. That said, this is crap to play at 3 mana, it basically does nothing as a minion.

Considering this is 12 damage as a weapon for 3 mana, that's pretty insane madness...

I really like the mechanic of this card, a new way to make some decisions when it was the best scenario you can play it a when to play just for tempo.

A very good weapon if corrupted.

A very easy Corrupt to activate, Soul DH can accompish it very easily. I guess the question is if Soul DH has too many weapons by adding this card. I'm inclined to say no, because some Soul DH's tech in Hoard Pillager.

This card has so much potential to be insanely broken. Essentially any buff that reaches it makes it a monster of a weapon. Its a good thing though that it costs 3, which means its easily corrupted, and therefore the buffs are harder to reach, but that's not to say its impossible.

Right out of the bat Costumed Entertainer does that. And if it manages to fall on this, then we're looking at a 6/5 weapon. Basically ends the game if your opponent has no ooze.

Even as a 4/3 vanilla 3 mana minion, that's not really that bad. As a 4/3 weapon, its already pulling more work than Marrowslicer, but the lack of synergy with cards like Soulshard Lapidary means its likely a strictly tempo dhunter card.

I think that this card is really really strong (as a weapon, not a minion).  If you can corrupt this, it is 12 face damage over time for 3 mana, which I think is really strong.  It can also be used for trades if necessary, which only makes it better.  One of my top 10 cards from the set.

Pretty neat I guess but how do handbuffs work with it exactly? Does it keep the stats or does it lose them?

Despite how insane a 3 mana 4/3 weapon is, I think the surrounding DH context is important to consider the impact Felsteel Executioner will have. At earliest, this as a weapon comes out on turn 5, and DH doesn't have many great tempo 4 drop options to corrupt this. Also, this competes with Marrowslicer, which helps fill in the 4 slot curve for DH and is a more consistent draw at later stages in the game. Overall, I think Marrowslicer is more consistent at what Felsteel Executioner is trying to do.

Amazing card for SS. Not sure if this will finally decrease the amount of custom cards with this text, or make more.

Unique, but not sure if Demon Hunter Decks wants it tho. 4/3 Weapon is better than 4/3 Minion sure, but I feel like you'd rather have Marrowslicer or Aldrachi Warblades.

Pretty solid either the way you use it. A decent body into a insane early weapon. Maybe it should also have rush but maybe it will be too op.

I think that corruption should also work the other way. A weapon that when corrupted gives you a good minion. I don't know, some kind of uncorrupt the corrupted when you decide which is best scenario for each.

Really strong weapon, but Demon Hunter already has plenty of those. I think it sees play? Since the versatility of being able to be played as a minion too makes up for clogging your hand with weapons sometimes.

This is an interesting card. I like the idea of a minion/weapon choie in it. This might be a fun mechanic to explore for other classes as well.

This is a cool effect. This feels like a tool for aggressive decks that want to use the weapon side of it, but aggro wouldn't generally run enough cards to Corrupt it. Don't think it makes the cut in Souls.
