Priests and copying minions. Name a more iconic duo.
Seems like a solid legendary, just not particularly flashy.
Wow, interesting card. Silence on a stick with upside as it could transform into a better minion. The art is sick too.
Looks good !
Nothing more to add :)
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Its really just value for silences, and if the meta doesn't demand for silence, then this card falls quite flat.
Underwhelming to say the least, but priest legendaries often makes me want to pull my hair out, so this one being weak is refreshingly welcomed.
4 mana silence with 4/4 body and (surely) a good effect attached.
Really solid card, especially with primes.
By The Holy Light!
An interesting effect, but the fact that this silences means it will only really be useful on enemy minions. As silence is only useful in some matchups, the power of this card is probably limited, and decks like raza would prefer board clears over counterpressure effects.
This post is discussing the wild format.
I don't see any reason why you would target a friendly minion with this effect, it's clearly meant for your opponents minions. It's a better Faceless Manipulator but that's it. Wouldn't want to get this leg in my packs though, there's far more exciting legendaries
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
This card definitely has lots of swinging potential. Ironically, mirror matches are probably where this card shines best. Summoning lots of annoying minions is Priest's thing, and this helps you get around that. This just in general seems quite good to me.
As for targeting friendly minions, you can target a 1/1 copy of a Deathrattle minion you have to put it back to full size and put the effect on a new minion.
I think priest can find uses for this... For example against libram paladin you don't only silence their libram deathrattle but also steal it.

Good for some taunts (hard or soft anyway) and give copies.
Lorewise I think is Madame Lazul replacement as Old Gods Agent
Nice! Silence with a body and potential for really good effects. Could go right into most Priest decks out there.
This card is just good. Will see play and probably powercreep out Mindflayer. Its just a really good silence on a stick, what more can you ask for?
This ain't no place for a hero
Oh the source is silenced, I was like, what on earth is the point of this card if you copy something and then silence yourself...
Really neat card! Vanilla stats for cost, but you get a potentially good effect and a silence to boot. Flexible, since you can choose either n enemy or friend;y minion, although you don't want to silence your own guy most of the time.

I guess this The Nameless One is good. Kabal Songstealer saw play simply because it was a reasonably stated minion with a silence effect tacked on. The Nameless One should be strictly better, as it can pick up useful deathrattles, persistent effects, or valuable keywords, and it comes down a little earlier if you need to silence a buffed minion in an aggro match or some such thing. Probably good, also kind of boring.
Strong effect, check. Shuts down opponents? Check. Completely unfun to play against? Check. Alright it fits every criteria, so it's an amazing priest card.
But seriously, this shuts down both Khartut Defender, Convincing Infiltrator and pretty much all primes. It's amazing tech against priest mirrors as well. Opponent played Grave Rune on their Convincing Infiltrator? Well YOINK, my Convincing Infiltrator with buffs now. The Nameless One is just an upgraded Faceless Manipulator, and that already sees play in Wild. Also considering Hunter & Rogue are probably getting a lot of new deathrattle cards, The Nameless One is only getting better this expansion. Also this is really good to counter your opponents Mindflayer Kaahrj in a mirror match as well. (And i already shudder at the thought of Rogues pulling The Nameless Ones from Dragon's Hoard.)
Standard: Definitely must-include in nearly every priest deck. Helps buff priest by silencing your opponent in mirrors, and shuts down deathrattles. (RIP Rattlegore, now the priests have yet another way of copying it & shutting it down.)
Wild: Okay i think this will see a lot of play as well. This is definatly going into ress & Big priest, as some variations of those decks already use Faceless Manipulator against mirrors, and The Nameless One is just an upgraded Faceless Manipulator. Maybe Raza Priest might run it as well? They will probably experiment with The Nameless One at the very least.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
There isn't a huge demand for silence in the meta right now, unless you're playing Demon Hunter and need to go through a taunt. OR you're playing against a libram paladin.
That said, there's plenty of legendary minions with good effects or minions with deathrattles you might wanna shut up, and stealing their effect while nullifying theirs is pretty good.
I'm very certain this guy will see play somewhere, but I don't have the theorycrafting chops to see where
This looks really strong. This is Spellbreaker, but with more stats and it also copies the abilities of whatever you are silencing. I can't imagine a world where this doesn't become a staple in just about every priest deck moving forward.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Too bad the stat change, if not it would be the cool counter to Rattlegore for control priest.
Pretty sure I've seen effects that are basically this on several custom cards, but I dig it. Thief Priest is a deck I remake every expansion cycle and this will be an excellent addition. Honestly reminds me a bit of [Hearthstone Card (Mindflayer Kaarhj) Not Found], both are well statted minions for the cost that you want to play when the opponent has a reasonably strong minion to 'steal' it.
Hmm you are getting a minion worth silencing at least so a deathrattle/ability that is useful... not good vs stat boosts though.. It can also work on friendly minions but then you are playing silence priest lol
This card is so good. This isn't just a bad tech card like Owl or Spellbreaker, it has a lot more implications. Not only is it silence tech but you're stealing whatever you silence in typical priest fashion.
You can steal and remove high value deathrattles, you can just steal keywords like lifesteal, taunt, or rush or even strong on the board effects like Sethekk or questing adventurer.
You can even use it on your own minions. I'm not sure of a strong implication of that but there are definitely niche scenarios where the flexibility will be strong.
Priest get another strong legendary.
There isn't enough to be said about how good this is. Since Spellbreaker got the HoF treatment, this is the same cost, slightly better stats, AND gets to become a copy of gnarly card that you silence? This is really good.
Hilarious swings are going to happen with this, mark my words.
For some reason, I read it would only target minions and i was like "well, that's bad" and I re-read and thought "well, that's good".
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
This card is pretty good and it will be hated by many lol.
Interesting card.
Seems like Mind Control but only the effect not the minion. Wish this wasn't printed for priest lol. I want this as an anti priest card.
I corrected it for you ^^
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
One of the best cards in the expansion so far!
Start date: 5/16/14 Current gold: 16,410 Current dust: 17,200 Play wins: 10,786 Legendary from crafting: 26
Cash spent: $125.00 Lifetime gold: 177,110 Dust reserves: 62,985 Arena Wins: 907 Legendary from packs: 127
Priest has so much good legendaries, won't be fun to play against!
I can see this being in a control preist as being a better Spellbreaker
TOTAL CORRUPTION
TOTAL POWAAAAAAA
Silence is annoying, and copying my stuff is annoying so I personally despise this card already I don't think it will show up TOO much but when it does it will be quite a pain to deal with
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
Interesting, but confusing card. Which minion gets silenced?
Very good card. Better Spellbreaker essentially, and you can get more form Galakrond.
Just a solid card. Sometimes you silence a Teron Gorefeind, sometimes it's just a blessing of kings. Either way, it's a solid card you won't mind running in anything except res priest.

I don't know about this one. Seems like the become a copy of mechanic is almost an add on with the silence being the main draw to it. Since it does silence the target it would have to be mainly intended for enemy minions. What would be played that you would want a 4/4 copy of? Some aura effect or deathrattle would be the prime target.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
I mean, there's hardly ever a time that this won't just be a better Spellbreaker - I can't imagine why you'd be copying a minion with a downside. Nothing flashy, but simply a good card.
Welcome to the site!
Notice that it says silence IT not itself
All hail the banshee queen.
Spellbreaker was HOF'd for this.
Really good against Libram Paladin or even other Priests.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
A very powerful silence effect to be sure, but I think Priest would rather just remove the minion rather than silencing it. I imagine The Nameless One being dependent on the meta and how many valuable silence minions exist in competitive play.
For glory, honor, and gold!
This has quite a lot of potential, yet another annoying tool in the Priest's arsenal
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is bad. It doesn't remove the minion, just Silences them and becomes a copy. You're getting greedy thinking about all the Rattlegores and Librams that you can steal when in reality this is just a Silence on an OK body. Control decks don't usually run Silence on an OK body.
