  • I'm not a fan of this card.  I like the evasive targeted removal, but I still have a hard time validating using her

  • Since the in the first set priest won't have as much control tools I think this will find a spot again.

  • Natalie Seline is a good removal card, but she is very expansive. Now that a lot of expensive priest removals are gone, maybe she will see play? Not sure though. Priest prefers expansive Board clears over expansive single target removal. IF they want to remove a big minion, they rather use Shadow Word: Death instead. The only real reason why you would use Natalie Seline is if there are a lot of evasive/high health minions in the meta. I wish that Natalie Seline got a buff/change, because she is really situational and hard to use right now.

  • World of Warcraft's toponimies now ranges from Deathwings to Natalie

  • She's not just removal, though. She's removal on a very threatening stick.

It seems like we're about to see a lot of big dragons flying around with their fat 12-health bodies. A 4/12 can be a nightmare for Priest to deal with unless they have something like this.

Coerce, Hex, Shadow Word: Death, Shadow Word: Ruin, Siphon Soul, Deadly Shot, Shield Slam, Execute, Plague Scientist, Ironbeak Owl, Snap Freeze, Malevolent Strike, Libram of Justice, Assassinate, Brittlebone Destroyer, Cascading Disaster, and more

All of these cards cost 5 or less and destroy or silence it and deal with it accordingly. This card is way too slow. Only good in a curvestone arena type of meta. Obviously it can be amazing to discover as well. Very situational card though and not much room to fit it in to your priest list.

Dealing with 4/12 dragons is literally the only thing that differentiates her from any other removals that Priest has. For everything else there's a better option available. And the 4/12 dragons with snowballing effects (Original Ysera, Kalecgos, etc) are all leaving standard. A simple 4/12 dragon without any continuous effect isn't enough of a threat to justify running a card that's just too expensive, too slow and too clunky. The body barely matters as it's pretty easy to remove a large body at such a late point in the game. Also, this card has no flexibility. It's a one dimensional card with no synergies or possibilities of different applications attached to it. I'd rather just run Brittlebone Destroyer. In my opinion, this is one of the most uninspired and uninteresting cards ever printed and completely undeserving of legendary status. Priest doesn't have a legendary card in its classic set since the rotation of Prophet Velen and this will be the case again with the core set.

  • I've seen her generated by Zephrys many times to pretty good effect, but she's still not a card you'd likely run in a deck. Maybe the new meta will make her viable? Doesn't seem likely.

You just listed a ton of cards that are either not in Priest or would not handle a 4/12.

Have you ever actually played Hearthstone?

Do you have any reading comprehension skills whatsoever?? These are cards that instantly deal with Natalie a 8 minion is almost always removed the turn after by a 1,2, or 3 mana spell.

This is more about your writing skills. You wrote "it" with no clear antecedent, so I assumed you were talking about the 4/12.

And your argument is just an echo of the age-old "Dies to BGH" line that used to clutter the message boards every time an expansion came out. Obviously that's true some of the time, but not always.

I'm not saying Natalie is the best card in the game, but hard removal that forces your opponent to use up their hard removal isn't the worst thing in the world for a value-oriented class like Priest. Does she belong in every Priest deck? Of course not. But as a Core card, she's a perfectly viable option for budget players who want to build a control deck.

  • Simply put, it isn't worth spending your entire turn playing a single minion with no keywords and removing a single minion from your opponents board. Maybe if she had taunt, or rush, or was cheaper, or did anything more she would be good. But 8 mana is just too much to remove a single minion.

    • Natalie is garbage outside of discovering it.

BGH is too restrictive Im talking about cheap removal with no or close to no downside. BGH is irrelevant with all the power crept removal that's come out.

BGH was extremely relevant during the time period I mentioned, before it was nerfed. That's why it was so frequently mentioned (and why it got nerfed).

But even if she's removed cheaply, Natalie scores a two-for-one trade. Mana isn't everything. She may feel like garbage now because there are cards like Convincing Infiltrator, as well as 8-drops like Catrina Muerte and Murozond the Infinite, but those will all be gone soon.

If you're one of those people who see no middle ground between tier-one material and dumpster fire, we can stop talking now. But I think you'll nearly always be disappointed if you are hoping to see extremely competitive legendaries in the Core set, either now or in years to come. I'm judging this card against other Core cards, not expansion cards. Core cards aren't supposed to be 5-star fabulous.

        • It was relevant because big minions like Ragnaros were relevant.

destroying one big minion does nothing in the new metas because of power creep.

The buff won't make it relevant again that was the past...
