being Forged launched the 30th, I assume that when we open the packs gifted during march, they will be Forged packs ... correct ?

I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
If you talk about the classic packs from brawls, no, I don't think so.
If you talk about the ranked rewards, should be so, since it's latest expansion, and the month ends two days later, making the rewards change (supposedly).
Again, never take anything for granted with Blizz.
