How do you like the new Classic mode?
I tried it and I found it... very shallow compared to Standard. The small number of available options and mechanically simple cards make the format for me not very exciting.

Its really a throw back to the earlier days when sticking a 4 mana 8/8 or a Twilight Drake can literally decide games. The reason why it seems shallow is likely because it was a simpler time when there's very few answers available to each class. Its no wonder that a 4/5 on 4 was back then considered a strong play, and that zoolock playing a group of trash minions can still win, backed up by a noticeably powerful hero power. I like it, quite a lot actually.
I would say that simple doesn't always mean shallow. For one thing its actually possible to me to read most of the game, and expect a certain combination of cards from my opponent every turn and plan (or die) accordingly. Card advantage is now a thing, since you don't really have many options to actually draw cards so every one counts. Initiative is a thing, and worth spending resources in gaining. And let's not forget, there are still very skill testing decks around in classic like miracle rogue, or worgen warrior, always a turn away from winning or dying.
Yes, there is in fact a limit to how much variety there is, and there are still a good amount of bs present like Leeroy at 4 mana, miracle rogue bs, double Ice Block, Wild Growth on 2. But any complains I have are washed aside by that smirk on my face when I have double Molten Giants with Alex in hand as my opponent gayly chips my health away.
At least for now, classic feels fresh. A nice little way for me to pass my time as I wait for Barrens to be released. At least if standard fks up royally at any time in the expansions, there's always still a place for me to go and cry in.
I really like playing a meta where there's no randomly generated bullshit and the overal RNG is kept to a minimum (at least on the playable cards).
Still, I am reminded why Conceal was removed from Standard way back when, fuck that card
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
It's not main mode material for me, but definetly something I will go back to every once in a while if I just want to play something reliant.
The amount of burst is insane, and the RNG actually feels way worse than in Standard (lost 3 games in a row, first one due to Ragnaros RNG then two to Huffer RNG). Other than that it's some nice nostalgia.
Boring
I know it is what got me into HS at the start, but looking at it through the lens of the last 7 years of expansions I have to agree it feels a bit limited. It's probably because the same handful of neutrals are used all over the place, especially as card draw and finishers. Diversity wasn't helped by everyone gravitating to combo decks on day 1 either.
I'm really just hoping it will get a following of meme players like other modes do, so I won't have to face off against the same meta decks all the time. I'm not optimistic though, since the meme potential of Standard and Wild will always be much greater.
I haven´t tried it yet, still can´t decide what deck to try first. Any ideas for a good deck for that mode anyone?

I only had time for a handful of games in the mode yesterday - feeling a bit burned out after grinding DH to level 60 before the Core set release.
I enjoyed the classic experience. The games felt fun, and decided on a knife's edge - by that I mean they were crazy close, settled by decisions made turns earlier - whether to get a value trade or to push damage when I could. It's not as full feeling as other modes in HS, but it's definitely a place I will enjoy laddering and playing a different feeling brand of HS.
I find it fun. I am going to play it until FitB releases. I am probably going to play it when I am feeling competitive but do not feel like interacting with a complicated meta. I also appreciate how I can safely craft a golden card and know it will always be relevant, something that is not possible in any other format.
Your face is already dead
I don't think it will be anybody's main mode due to the fact that the card pool will stay exactly the same forever. But I do think that it will be a nice escape for a lot of players when they are feeling bored or frustrated with standard or wild. I am currently enjoying it for the nostalgia value, but I imagine at some point the novelty will wear off. However, I do see myself coming back to the format ever now and then for some casual fun. I could also see players like me who, generally don't like ranking up, using it as a way to collect our diamond chest every month without much effort. Since the card pool is the same all the time, you could build a single powerful deck and rank up with that every season. It is also comforting to know that any card we craft in classic will remain relevant forever.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Dull.
It's much like Classic WoW for me. Great for a bit of nostalgia but things have moved on.
I started playing around the time The Grand Tournament was released, so I never got to experience true classic Hearthstone. I remember playing against many Control Warriors, but never got the opportunity myself as I was lacking so many epics and legendaries. Currently, I have a near full Classic collection, so this is the first time I got a chance to play Wallet Warrior from the old days and I like it a lot.
Arena > Wild > Standard
I feel like classic is what people's main complaint about wild has been for a while, there will quickly become a set in stone meta of decks that everyone will play, cough cough secret mage, rez priest, maly druid. Except with wild it's set because the hearthstone team would rather balance around standard and leave wild alone, which i think is a mistep. But for classic mode, they literally can't change it. So the set in stone meta of classic mode this month will be the same 4 years later. I think the mode would have worked better as a recurring tavern brawl every month, and not it's own game mode where you have to craft cards for it.
Living like that.
I‘m surprised how much I like it. Grinded it for 5 hours straight when it came out. The dynamic is so different from everything we know today and the simplicity of cards definitely has it’s charm.
The predictability is a huge bonus imo that makes decisions way more important.
I‘ll probably lose interest when Barrens is out but I wouldn’t mind to grind to legend over the next couple seasons.
Winner winner chicken dinner
I've played just one game at Classic Mode.
Me: Control Warrior
He: Handlock
I've won at fatigue with Ragnaros the Firelord on board meanwhile he was summoning 6/6 Infernal as Lord Jaraxxus, i've enjoyed that game more than any game of standar.
Nowadays seems like you are using cheats.
