How to fix murlocs in Battlegrounds

Murlocs in Battlegrounds are just a bit too weak to be enjoyable, right now.
I think an easy way to buff them would be to simply remove the Murloc Tidecaller from the pool of minions. It would make all murloc generation and discovery effects a little bit stronger, and it would help Fungalmancer Flurgle quite a lot.
Any thoughts?

Weak? What? You must be playing a different game than i am :) I do agree that Tidecaller sucks ass, i wouldnt remove him, but i would make him a 1/3. It is just a suicide to buy this minion on T1, you are 100% guaranteed to lose your next two fights, if you want to level up tavern on next turn too. And the scaling is just too slow and still sits at 2hp which can die to almost anything. Wrath Weaver was buffed from 1/2 to 1/3 for this exact reason.

It's based on Murloc Tidecaller in regular Hearthstone. Tidecaller is common to see in the game (due to being a Classic/Core card and often being seen in murloc decks) that it'd be jarring to just change it for the sake of Battlegrounds. Besides, if it was a 1/3 in the base game murloc decks would be even stronger.
Though I could be taking things too seriously, since after all there's a Majordomo Executus in Battlegrounds different from the one from Blackrock Mountain.
They could definitely change the stats just on the BG minion, not the regular one. I dont see a problem with that.

Hi, I am sure Blizz stated they would not change a "real" HS minion for BG, just rather introduce the new one. All to avoid confusion among the players. They held true to it when they introduced deflecto bot BUT then the rotation came and we have different versions of the same cards in regular HS, so who knows.

They could always just add Gentle Megasaur into the pool again
Or sub Murloc Tidecalller for that one mana 1/2 that leaves a 1/1 when it dies.

I would like to see a tier 6 murloc that has, "your first battlecry every turn triggers twice". It would be interesting to see if it replaces Brann
Or just any murlocs that are more than just stats/battlecrys

I don't think Murlocs are bad per se, but situational. They are a godsent against Elementals, Demons and to some extent non-Khadgar Pirates because of the sheer amount of Poisonous minions you have and their overall lack of Divine Shields to protect from poison. Quillboar are also a bit weaker into Murlocs, especially without that Divine Shield guy.
But they are reliant on Brann and overall highrolling. The plus is that you cap out on Tier 5, so you can then save gold you otherwise would've used on leveling to Tier 6 to buy a few more minions, or go there and dig Amalgadons for potential Divine Shields.
