Has anyone else run into an issue where they cannot access the gauntlet? In my UI it is all faded out, and when I click on it it says I have to play more challenges and quests.

Are you a new player or using a new account? Because in the latest update Riot introduced prologue were you have to unlock modes step by step. You can find more about it here :
