  • Might make Pilfer playable, as a way to proc this on curve.

  • wow, this guy is super useful when combined with Pilfer, or in wild, Swashburglar, or even Hallucination to get this guy a 3/4 rush on turn 2. that is way better thanTotem Golem.

  • If this is proc'd, it is absolutely insane stats. Like bonkers insane. It's a totem golem with rush and no overload.

  • People have already mentioned how this might make [Hearthstone Card (pifler) Not Found] worth playing, but let's not forget Vendetta also exists. A turn one play that allows for a turn 2 3/4 rush and a zero mana 4 damage removal? That's an insane enabler. Pilfer might actually make the meta, that's how much potential thief rogue has.

I tried making a deck. Suggestions welcome: https://hearthstation.com/decks/510-togwaggles-thief-rogue-pifler-meta

  • As someone who insta-crafted Tess on day 1 of Witchwood and who's been playing various iterations of burgle rogue ever since then, I've got to say: I absolutely love it. Aggro's always been a struggle and this helps immensely.
  • Arguably better than it's go-to comparision, Alexstraza's Champion, just for the extra one health. Holding another class card now days is easy by turn two. This is one fantastic two drop now that Keleseth is leaving standard.

  • Making Tesspionage great again.

    Maybe.

I'm excited to see the love that thief rogue has received so far in RoS.  It is hands down one of the most fun decks to play, giving players access to all kinds of cards that might otherwise be inaccessible to them.  Every game is a wild ride, win or lose.  The frustrating part of this deck I love so much, though, is that it lacks early game tempo and survivability.

    Intro:  Underbelly Fence

We've got a few more reveals to go, but it feels like Team 5 is recognizing that the HS community enjoys the thief archetype, and is giving it a much needed shot in the arm so it can move past being just a "fun" deck, and move in to more competitive play.

I'm hopeful that thief rogue can move to upper-tier 2 territory, possibly even lower end T1.

  • This card is certainly strong for a 2 drop, my fear with no standard legal hallucination is that it wont be a very common turn 2 play. Heres to hoping blizzard prints a NEW one mana spell that gives a card from ANY class, as that's the new direction of thief rogue

    • Dude, I love this card, reminds me of Alexstraza's Champion, and I loveeeeeee that card <3 Can't wait to play this soon!

It doesn't pull from any class, but the Rogue's newest Classic card - Pilfer - can suit one's needs 8/9 times.

  • And honestly, Stolen Steel became a lot better with the rotation so far. Imagine snagging Hunter's new spell damage weapon or warrior's Wrenchcalibur. Thinking of making a Stolen Steel x2, Deadly Poison x2, with Blink Fox and Underbelly for a start.
