I am playng the Nature team (Malfurion, Guff, Brukhan) and a couple of times I had mirror matches.
I have level 30 and apparently we had same equipment, but their starting statistics were a few points better than mine.
How they achieved that ?

Each merc gains +1/+5 once you max out every single ability and equipment
