How many is too many?

Submitted 5 years ago by

Hi guys. So I was idly browsing my collection just now, thinking of putting together a C'thun Mage for a few shits and giggles in Wild, when I realised that I had 18 decks already.

How? I don't remember making 18 decks. Most of them I haven't touched in Months (take a bow Keleseth Rogue and EvenLock) so I'm seriously considering a Deck Purge, especially as Rotation is coming up and almost all of the Standard Decks I have will be gutted.

Do any of you have this problem? Putting together decks without realising how many you have already? Or is it just me?

I wonder how I coped with only having 9 Deck slots before... 😬

I'm almost always capped out on decks and it sucks. I keep a few around for sentimental value and then I've always got a few for active decks and the rest end up being decks created for testing out decks before vouching for their awesomeness.

I'd love 100 deck slots though, and a folder structure to organize them with >.>

My advise for this is to use any type of deck tracker or upload the decks you are about to delete to any hearthstone website where you can build decks. This only takes a few minutes and if you wanna come back to an old deck that won't be a problem anymore

And so of them are concepts that don't really work ( I tried my hand at an enrage warrior using loose specimen)

It is easy to max out on deck slots, since you make decks to finish daily quests and often the decks you play dont meet the criteria or would take too damn long, so you make a full divine shield paladin or brutal overload shaman etc and ofc you dont delete them right after ... and then your deck slots are gone :D

It would be a cool feature in the game to have like, a library of past decks you played. I don't see that in the foreseeable future though; at least they made deck codes! Until then i'll have to continue transferring them here.

I'd really like more deck slots since I'm basically always maxed out on slots. Like some have mentioned: sentimental decks you keep, some fun decks you want to try out, decks to quickly fulfill certain daily quest and so on.

And then I copy some decks I want to try out, but don't find the time and they rest there, gathering dust and occupying a slot.

I'm pretty much always maxed out on deck slots.  I do purge several now and then, but ultimately I'd like for more to be added.  However, I somehow doubt it's high on the priority list for the developers considering how long we had to beg for them to increase it from the original nine.

I am so OCD about my decks. I just recently earned my first golden portrait (Hunter) so I deleted all my Hunter decks. I delete quest decks as soon as I'm finished with them and try to keep it 1-2 pages of decks. I must confess I am a Spike through and through. And I do sometimes bring T1 decks to casual, but it is only long enough to get a feel for the deck and then I go to ranked.

I've recently started messing around in Wild Casual with budget decks - as in no epics or legendaries. I'm at r23 in Wild and reached r11 last season so I dropped to r15 this new season.

I mess around with fun or interesting stuff on locked floors but I go back to my T1 decks when I'm sick of losing lol.

I hope they do implement more deck slots because I have a few friends that LOVE their meme decks.

Why can't we have 18 Standard and 18 Wild?

Good Luck and Happy Gaming! <3

I often polish off my deck list once in a while so I hardly go over 9 decks at the same time (1 per each Class). Since I play only Wild i just update my decks with new cards from each expansion set but it happened that I completly replaced some if a new archetype pop up, making some deck list completly outdated.

I dont keep most of my decks much longer than a week. once I realize that I am not playing a deck all too often, I just delete it.

18 deck slots are enough for 1 standard and 1 wild active deck for all classes.

They just need to add a Player Library to the game and make it possible to save decks to there.

They don't need to do that even in servers. It sounds so easy when we have deck codes.

Game can save decks as a notepad file in a folder in our Documents folder, and When we open Library, we can see our saved decks.

Just like a single player game's save file. That's so simple.

I really don't know why they don't add an addition like that to the game.

Is it about community sites like here ? Is it about twitch or sth? No clue.

The ability to export decks seemed to be the way to provide "infinite" slots, with the caveat of only being able to have 18 active.

It's funny how quickly I've come to use pretty much none, apart from "pick class, auto-build and go."
