Seems really good for aggro decks. But i do see one big problem with Drek'Thar: It costs 4 mana, which means Drek'Thar and Kazakus, Golem Shaper aren't that good in one deck. Actually both kinda do the same thing. Both can create a lot of stats, however Kazakus offers more flexability, while Drekthar offers more immediate stats on board. So i guess it's up to you to decide which of the 2 you use. Oh and there of course is always the potential that both don't get used because some aggro decks need certain 4-5 cost minions?

One thing to remember about Drek'Thar though: He needs to be the highest cost MINION, this means decks like token druid can still use cards like Arbor Up. However this obviously means that you often can't use Mr. Smite alongside Drek'Thar in one deck, unless your willing to wait until you have drawn your Mr. Smite. (Rip you if he's on the bottom of your deck.)

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

This with the new Dun Baldar Bridge is going to be insane and will warrant a nerf somewhere down the line.

I wonder if a Big Spell Mage might do well with a lot of small minions and a few big spells. It's worth a try if we get any new big Mage spells. The groundwork is already there, but there just haven't been enough big spells this year.

Interesting for Quest Paladin; something to play later and get stats. Doesn't work with Lothraxion, though, so that sucks.

Chumbawumba is the worst band name.

The immediate thing that comes to mind is Call to Arms and that was incredibly broken on 4, which makes this one a comparable card.

But call to arms doesn't limit your deck building whereas this one does, which means Drek'Thar will only ever be used in either an aggro deck or a spell heavy deck that uses only a few minions to do the job.

You can just run this in token druid and insert nothing but good 3 cost minions, with the hope of just scamming an advantage on 4. Its not like token druid plays lots of minions anyway. Either way, there's plenty cards down the line that can ultimately make this the winner over Vanndar Stormpike.

Looks decent enough to find play in mostly aggro and zoo-ish lists.

Seems like a weaker Call to Arms, which was utterly busted. I'm sure this will find some home, like it already seems to have done in miracle priest.

Looks like an insane card for Zoo, but I wonder if it's possible to do a sub-4 only deck right now. A lot of powerful stuff is right at 4-mana and it stands to arguue whether a deck can actually get anywhere by just playing trashmobs and a few spells.

    I tried having fun once.

    It was awful.

I like the mini support, and with the standard meta, this will be an autoinclude in every deck that is going aggro

Arena: Outside of the most aggressive (Demon) Hunters out there, this is just a 4/4. Far from the worst possible pick, but even further from the best.

Constructed: Aggro board-based/ Zoo decks seem to make the most sense, but in Wild, I've also seen a guy play Drek'Thar in Flamewaker Mage. A deck that's more specific in which minions it wants to pull. Very clever I must say. Time will tell what type of deck will make the most use of this, but I have no doubt it will see plenty of play.

    Arena > Wild > Standard

If you're building a hyper aggro deck, this is basically free tempo.

This looks pretty good for aggro decks. It seems like it might cause a problem for your opponent if played at 4 mana, assuming your minions don't rely too much on their battlecries. This was the card I chose, so hopefully it's better than the other one.

Very cool effect, love that it's the antithesis of Vanndar. Should do some cool things in aggressive decks, at least it gives them a new way to build their decks.

More useful in wild, surprisingly, because Tax Paladin is fairly decent there thanks to Call to Arms. The redundancy in those recruit effects gives the deck a lot more consistency.

In standard, however, every aggro deck has a bigger drop (Greybough, [Hearthstone Card (Trampling Rhyno) Not Found], even Mr. Smite if you value the 6 damage burst), so Drek'Thar feels more awkward. Also, he competes with Kazakus, Golem Shaper in the 4 mana slot.

Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
    Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906

So both Vanndar and Drek'Thar have heavy deckbuilding restrictions, and you need to be worried about shuffle effects like with Envoy Rustwix. That being said, it's kinda cool inventing decks like this, coz you can get creative, for eg: Try make a big spell mage with Drek'Thar or a zoolock. Quest Paladin with Drek'Thar would probably be bad right but still fun to try all these archetypes with these 2 different legendries.

I think that an aggresive deathrattle priest will make a very good for Drek'Thar, but I just choose him because I like the art more than the other card

Outside of the early access to Vanndar and Drek, I doubt we'll see too much of Drek in the coming months.  Vanndar supports big decks (and is practically game winning if played on curve).  Alternatively Drek is just an easier build around, and if you don't draw him, your aggro plan doesn't change much and thus is just a much more mundane effect overall.

As written in Vanndar thread, I regret my allegiance to the Horde with this card. Actually only played him in degenerate OTK mage so far...

I chose this as my golden legendary because Hearthstone it typically leaning more toward aggro than big decks of any kind. That being said, I don't think I have put him in a deck yet and I've seen plenty of options where I wish I had Vanndar. Oh well.

Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.

Call to Arms on a stick sounds good. And already proven to be quite good in aggro and certain combos.

Great card for specific decks, obviously. Doesn't feel too broken either from what we've seen so far, but maybe the new expansion brings enough power cards for it to worry.

    Welcome to the site!

Been having quite some fun with it. It's not as insane as I initially thought, but a fun aggro card regardless.
