I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
HK is Honorable Kill. It is progression towards the Alterac Valley event. The "Private" part tells you what honorable rank your opponent is.

Though the questline isn't live yet, so its funny that's popping up.

There is an achievement which will reward a portrait for 7200 HK points

I'm getting the same thing. I am assuming that these points aren't counting for anything yet because the quest line isn't live.
I just saw a screenshot of someone getting progression on the achievement side of honor. I doubt it'll contribute to the quest once it opens up, but that would be neat if we could build progression early

I just looked at the Achievements page (Gameplay; Alterac Valley) and indeed I am accumulating honor towards the 7,200 honor points goal. (250 down, 6,950 to go! :P)
EDIT: I noticed in my collection that I also have a new golden Priest card: Stormpike Aid Station, which, if I recall, is the first milestone in the Quest chain.
SECOND EDIT: Humorously - the "reward" for the 7,200 honor achievement is a new hero skin (aka the ones they have on the rewards track per every 200 levels). Must be a bug!
I don't believe its a bug that the 7200 is a hero skin. Just a catch-up mechanism for folks to get them.
That's really cool to know that you got a golden card already. We're going to need to frontpage that because that's some huge news!

Another update!
Blizzard is going to hotfix in the quest tomorrow, December 1, so the event will officially be starting early. Everything still works right now though, you just don't get notifications of quest progression but it is working on the server-side.
