I'd run this in Paladin without hesitation, it might even be better than Bannerman depending on the type of deck you're running. If you drop it on curve one draw is basically guaranteed and if it doesn#t get removed you can easily buff it to draw even more. Maybe that's not needed at the moment though, Paladin has some pretty decent draw these days.
Could also try and make Handbuff Warrior a thing again..

It was awful.
Right now, its bless priest, paladin or nothing.
Outside of that I'd rate Loot Hoarder over it. The honor kill will only ever proct because your opponent's an idiot, or you can strategically buff the attack to fit using librams etc. And the frenzy, while not necessarily easy to deny, means you probably can't draw the same turn you play it.
Probably see some niche play, but its probably still continuing the tradition of shitty midset epic cards. Mind you, its the best out of the lot. Bar is set low, but still this is the best midset epic so far.
Great card! It's 3 mana draw 1 at worst and it can draw more cards if it honorably kills something. It's like a slightly worse Acolyte of Pain because of the Honorable kill, but it does still work well with buffs. Bless priest can probably use Whelp Bonker well, but Paladin is going to have trouble after the expansion considering the entire libram package rotates. I guess handbuff paladin could use it instead though.
Also in terms of draw it might be worse than the other options we have RIGHT NOW, but most card draw rotates next expansion! Look at classes like rogue, which will lose cards like Secret Passage, Cutting Class and Swindle. A LOT of classes are going to lose most of their card draw, which means that cards like Whelp Bonker might become one of the best cards in standard. Don't sleep on cards that are going to be good after rotation, because the rotation is going to be in like 2 ish months already.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
3 mana to sometimes draw 2 cards, maybe more if you're really lucky. Sounds alright. Even if there aren't any 1-health minions around, you might be able to get something down to 1 health for the honorable kill. I'm not sure that would necessarily be the most efficient trades though.
3 mana for a 1/5 phat butt that draws you cards as long as it isn't outright killed? I'm game. Paladin for sure has the ability to really abuse this, but anything that can heal is going to get a blast out of this. I"m just glad that Frenzy cannot be retriggered after it's been healed fully.
