Good draw enginge if enough mechs emerge in standard / and paladin this expansion. But i guess it only will be good if a mech paladin will be a staple in the meta.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
2 mana draw 5 card.
Yes, looks balanced.
Pally will get some sunken mech for sure!
By The Holy Light!
2 mana draw draw 5 in a mech heavy deck? Sounds very good. The problem? Seafloor Savior is the only CLASS mech we know of after rotation, and most other mechs in standard are either rotating or in the core set.
Seriously, if we ignore core set cards and rotating cards all mechs in standard (we know of so far) are:
Seafloor Savior, Amalgam of the Deep which is a amalgam, Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece and Popsicooler. All other mechs are either rotating or part of the core set. Sure paladin still has 4 cards that haven't been revealed yet, but those will NEED to be good pay-off cards or have some good synergy in order to see play.
Now that i'm thinking about it, Paladin does still have the "shuffle to bottom of deck" card that hasn't been shown yet, so maybe that's a mech. And paladin also still has it's collosal minion that has yet been revealed, so maybe that is a mech paladin card. (Similarly to mage with Gaia, the Techtonic) We will have to see though. Honestly i'm surprised to see mech paladin maybe returning. Would have expected Murloc paladin instead lol.
Also i'm not sure if this even sees play in wild, unless the mech stuff this expansion is really good. If the rest of the mech paladin cards are good, than paladin has a lot of mech synergy from Boomsday that they might be able to create a new mech paladin deck with.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Being able to draw 5 is nice. But that's near impossible unless your deck is literally 100% mech, and even then I'd still say its all for naught because there's never enough cheap mechs available that you can endlessly flood the floor with mechs
Its more realistic to see this as 2 mana draw 2-3, because even aggro pally's got to play a few spells, and then there's the indispensable cariel roame hero card too. So the best you can manage is about 20 mechs and 10 other cards. That's still a good average for this card to do really well for 2 mana.
Given that sunken sweeper belongs to mage, I doubt theres going to be a card that jams 5 mechs down your deck. But there's still the paladin colossal card so its still entirely possible.
If blizzard are releasing a card like this, we can be pretty certain that a few mechs will return in the core set and maybe the magnetic keyword as well.
Super flavorful card though and would love to see the animation for it but I don't know how good the card will be unless you manage to full your desk with more than 15 mechs. Also sometimes the card might whiff and draw nothing but we could pair it with some dredge cards as we'll know the 2 options we didn't pick will remain at the bottom of the deck
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
The only way this doesn't spawn an archetype on its own is if the available mechs are just so unbelievably shit that you cannot possiblby win a game by playing them.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Aggro Mech?
Love this card but think it will depend on what fast effects mechs have to see play. Getting just 2 cards for 2 is fine but of course they have to do something and not just be harvest golems.
Avoid at all costs in arena. Even if you see it first and try to draft around it it will pull you under

There aren't a lot of mechs in Standard for Paladin (at least not yet...) for this to hit a reliable number, so let's not talk about Standard. Let's talk about Wild, because this can do a lot of damage in Magnetic Buff Paladin. Like, we're talking reliably drawing at least three cards. Who needs Divine Favour?
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Drawing cards in Paladin is always a good thing. For Wild though... this is just waiting to stack your hand with Magnetic minions and then drop them into a swing turn
Until there's a way for Paladin to put several mechs at the bottom of its deck, this card is useless. If that does happen, 2 mana draw 5 is insane, and this hypothetical future card probably won't put that many mechs at the bottom.
That was also my assumption upon reading this card. I have yet to revise the new core set for 2022, but clues seems to be pointing that way.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Alas, I was incorrect as the amount of new cards introduced into the core set is somewhat...small. Also, some mech synergistic cards were removed from the 2021 core set like Cogmaster so honestly have no idea what Team 5's philosophy is around the core set anymore.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Cogmaster was removed probably because the new Mech synergy introduced with Sunken City only works with... well... Mechs, and not tribeless minions.
If you take a look at cards like Radar Detector and Trench Surveyor, you'll notice that Cogmaster would actually be detrimental to your gameplan.
Spice Lord and self-proclaimed Meme Master.
2 mana draw 3-5 cards from your deck? Yeah, if Mech Paladin isn't a thing for at least a year, I'll be surprised.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Insane potential on this card. Mech Paladin is looking almost as good as Mech Mage!
