Maybe it's for the better if Curselock is bad, but this just looks so underwhelming. It's like a Galakrond deck with no real payoff outside of trrying to annoy your opponent into submission.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Weird tribe choice, considering that warlock got no "do somtehing if you played a naga" spell. And there's not that much intrinsic value to being a naga to begin with. (being in the discover pool of Crushclaw Enforcer and Amalgam of the Deep?)
It's a really one-dimensional card. Either Abbyssal Curse is good, making this card good; either it's plain bad. And Abbyssal Curse seems to me to be some prudent experiment on T5 part - meant to be just okay, but not over-representated like the libram serie may have been -
It does have my curiosity.
Curses! Lots and lots of curses, apparently. Maybe this sees play because you can combo it with Brann (oh yeah, Brann Curses could totally be a thing). Otherwise, not something I'd be interested in playing.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Its a darn shame, because if team5 wanted to push curselock then this had to be a 3/4 for 3 at least. But with its stats lowered there's really not many reasons why you'd gimp your turn just to put a card into your opponent's hand that they will happily either ignore or remove without trouble because this minion only deals 2 damage anyway.
But if we're going to route of curses, then this card is admitably the better of the bunch. You can easily combo this with brann or zola it for another tick, something which the other curse cards have more difficulties doing.
If curselock doesn't come up, my prediction is that this card would be buffed, because its looking increasingly like its was designed as a 3/4 before release.
Warlock is looking pretty mean these days. Paring the Abyssal Curses with Curse of Agony along with Tamsin Roame to generate for curses... definitely going to be an annoying archetype to play against.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
More support for "annoy"lock, the deck that wants to annoy their opponent to death. Underwhelming stats, so the curse really needs to be worth it. One thing to remember is that Brann Bronzebeard can double the battlecry, so lets be careful about that.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Still not sure about these Abyssal Curses, but probably what it needs is a variety of generators, and hey, here's another.
If only this lone Naga had been a Murloc, I would have been more interested in this Hybrid deck building Murloc/Abyssal Curse brew - oh well!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Cussing Warlock seems pretty bad, but also the kind of archetype that reddit will eventually complain about.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Not a bad card, although it would be amazing at 2 mana. Still, it can be played early and is rather disruptive to the opponent.
