Well, Warlock has tons of cheap spells which can destroy friendly minions - Ritual of Doom, Grimoire of Sacrifice etc. So it's a Twisting Nether with body which destroys only enemy minions.
But the real question is, how does devour work in terms of resurrection and deathrattles? Is it new The Amazing Reno and despair of priests? Maw text says "permanently" so it seems that way.
What's the most powerful card in Hearthstone?
A credit card.
Is this good? It's a 2-card Nether at best, it doesn't gain the stats so it's not a swing turn and if you destroy the appendage it's just a 7/4 which is not great.
It's a great disruptive tool if you're playing against buffed boards but realistically this wouuld have to be much cheaper to see play...but then it would be overstatted.
Could be a really sick counter to decks without significant spell-based removal though. Like,...you can jsut fuck them up in a single turn and they have no way to fight back
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Warlock has PLENTY of ways to trigger the deathrattle, so no problems with that. It's basically a Twisting Nether on a body, AND it only affects your opponents minions. Also this is nuts with Bloodscent Vilefin. This will 100% see play in any slower warlock deck in standard.
In wild wel.. Renolock might experiment with it. The only problem with Gigafin in most control-ish warlock decks in wild is the fact that Gigafin messes up N'Zoth, the Corruptor ress pools.
Another thing to note, is that effects like these GENERALLY remove minions without triggering the deathrattles. So that makes Gigafin even better.
There is one really big weakness with Gigafin though. You probably want to play this against a opponent that plays minions, so it's bad against decks that OTK you. Which is a very big thing even today. But after rotation maybe decks like Defend the Dwarven District hunter might slow down due to a lot of spells rotating.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
As shown in the reveal video, if your opponent removes the main minion, it's not that good. It's a creative design for a board clear but not that exciting for a legendary minion. I did like how the stats are swapped for the appendage. Might see some experimentation if warlock's other board clears don't perform well in the new meta.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Interesting card !
I kinda like that it can disrupt a buffed up or a taunt board - not sure about the stats tough ... but i guess it is decent enough to see play!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
I wonder if you can cast Treachery on this, kill it, and just steal all your opponents minions! Either way 10/10 for design on this card.
I like this a lot. Granted you need to try to kill off the appendage before he dies, but that shouldn't be hard with Warlock. It's a good one sided balance shift.
I think that not works like this, the text reads "spits them back out", not "summon them in the opponent"s board".
By The Holy Light!
Could a midrange-murloc-zoo deck work?
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I completely read Gigafin wrong: I thought it said "all other minions", which would include yours and thus be terrible lol. Not looking forward to my minions being consumed by my most hated tribe, so...we'll see how it goes :/
The flavor is such a dad's joke - Love it;
How much storage does Gigafin's Maw have? About a giga bite.

Gigachad.
Its an instant board swing that comes with tremendous stats on its own, even if it doesn't gain the stats of what is eats. There is a downside in that your opponent can potentially get their minions back if they manage to kill it, but they'd have to get past a 4/7 taunt first and then that taunt removes the downside.
Another thing to consider is that its essentially clearing your opponent's board, not your own. So you can play this under any circumstances without fear of losing your own minions, something most warlock board clears don't necessarily enjoy.
It is an 8 mana card however, the only true weakness of this card. Will it be viable? That'll depend very much on whether team5 can deliver on their promise for a more board oriented game next rotation. If they fall short of that promise, Ive a feeling none of the colossal units will see any play.
Well, that maw is going to be a prime target for silence. Or just hit Gigafin with removal. Probably the easier option since it only has 4 health, and only Priest has much access to silence. But even if it's only temporary, it can buy you time, or let you find lethal by getting taunts out of your way.
A potentially strong synergy with Bloodscent Vilefin, and one-sided board clears (even if the butt can't be killed off and your opponent gets them back) are fairly strong. It also has the ability to eat a wall of Taunts so you can kill your opponent. I'm not buying Murlock, but I have faith that this finds a home.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Just a "Fuck you, I win" card against board decks, though it does become tricky to use against classes that can shoot around a taunt and reclaim their board.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
It's definitely an interesting card, considering how many ways Warlocks have to sacrifice their own minions. Not sure if the poor stats on the main minion make this worth playing, though.
