Sayge, Seer of Darkmoon was a sleeper of a card and really only showed up in Secret Mage. There really needs to be a better secret pool for this to be viable. In Wild, it has a giant target on it... which with the number and types of cards in Wild means it's not a threat. The benefit of Sayge is that it has it's benefit as a battlecry, which can only be stopped currently by Blademaster Okani. Whereas this minion requires someone to trigger your secrets while it's on the board. It may see play, but I doubt that it will do much
On the contrary, in Wild, Secret Mage is still a viable option - Tier 2 or 3, sure, but still - and this is exactly the type of addition to the main list that could make a difference; scaling up with every secret(s) triggered and casting an other secret to keep the ball rolling. Think this should see (Wild) play
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
A legendary version of Crossroads Gossiper, but what spooks me the most is that he'll fuel himself with random secrets (presumably not restricted to the ones that were in your deck.) I can easily see someone bumbling and activating secrets upon secrets trying to remove him only to make him bigger instead. I have him as a 3 for the moment, but could be 4 stars if there's secret support for getting secrets out on discounts.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
I really want this to work, but it doesn't look good enough. MAge Secrets are too expensive to combo with this and you can't rely on casting a secret on 3, then playing this and having things go your way.
That being said, the prospect of cucking your opponent infinitely by rolling Counterspell over and over again is hilarious.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
In standard this card is just useless for mage, currently.
There's not a single secret support card that makes this card even remotely worth it. If Kirin Tor Mage was still in standard then maybe, because there is a good tempo secret in Explosive Runes, but otherwise you'd be hard done trying to keep a secret up on turn 3.
Even in aggro, currently being mech mage, this card can't hold itself up because there's no room for secrets to push out.
Probably something for the future, because currently this card is shit. Rogues may dream that this card belongs to them but getting shafted is probably weaved into the design document.
This looks like a pretty nice card for a Secret Mage deck. I'm not sure Secret Mage is going to be a thing, however.
Seems pretty pointless. I give it 2 stars. I'm not sure I'd even waste a slot on it in my secret deck. Good thing the rest of the secret support is decent.
Standard: Shadowjeweler Hanar but with like almost 0 support. Honestly the standard secret stuff seems more like a control package for already existing decks. Probably not very good.
Wild: Alright Secret mage is going to include this in order to keep their secrets going. This will see play. It's almost like they made this card just for wild.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
It's super powerful in wild if you didn't manage to kill it asap.
Hope MarkMckz will make another crazy deck trying to get Halkias too
Very interesting card. I wonder if Secret Mage will become a thing again in Standard. *shudders*
