Hey there, can't figure this out. . . downloaded and played Snap thru Steam account on PC. Like it, so signed into steam account on a laptop, but my account and collection aren't there, have to start over completely. What can I do to play my account on another computer?

I've heard of this problem a lot in the pc version, kinda scared might happen to me too. Maybe link to a google account after tutorial might help?
I eat your fast food spare changes when you sleep.
There is a Steam customer review that seems to go into more detail on this, currently ranked as the 3rd most helpful on the store page. But yes, that's basically it: you would need to link your Google account *after* playing through the tutorial (the way it's been set up, it sounds like it might be safest to play through the tutorial separately on each device, and only then attempt to link to the main Google account afterwards).
You should've been given an in-game prompt to do so by that point (otherwise it can be found in the settings, the gear icon in the top left corner), and then your collection shoud be shared across all devices.
Ok, and this is, like, a Google mail, or do i have to make a google play account of some kind, and then link that? Ahh, Ben, making me jump thru needless hoops :P
You could say that - if you have Gmail set up, then you basically have a Google Account (that you should see in the top right corner if you use Google as your search engine). It just happens to provide some other functions as well.
It's also possible to create a Google Account with a different (non-google e-mail), for what it's worth.
