Its basically Arcane Shot for mage which can get slightly better if ever such a card in a deck can reach 8 mana without the game ending.
There is competition in First Flame, which is straight up better than this card. But this can hit face, and if ever you needed arcane spells this card is as easy as it gets. Cheap, effective, and hits face. Maybe bring back quest mage? Hopefully never.
Some burst damage for mage, well this is going to see play i think. The second mage gets any kind of spell-damage archetype again this will be pretty strong. Also this could help revive questline mage... which i hope it does not. Still, 1 mana deal 2 damage has seen play quite a bit. It kinda has some competition with First Flame, however Arcane Bolt can target face and First Flame is a stormwind card, and thus will rotate after the next expansion.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Probably not going to be holding this until 8 mana if I draw this this on 3, but I think I will be happy to play this if I draw it late game and have a mana crystal left over to spend.
Simple design, might be useful, and the little scalable bonus is a nice touch - still, nothing impressive

It's a simple damage spell to showcase the Manathirst mechanic. Will probably only see play after the Standard rotation when First Flame gets snuffed out to wild ;)
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
This just feels terribly uninspired. I'm hoping for some really sick Arcane payoff or else this is just filler.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
It's great fuel for decks that want to play spells from different schools. I'm not sure when you'd like to use it, otherwise, unless there's a nasty combo deck involved.

Meh to hard deck, but you're effectively running like, 8 of these things in your Arcane OTK deck.
