I think that's just good. Sure, mileage may vary, but as a turn two play it might set you up for something powerful in the future.
It's always fun to play with tools you're not supposed to.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
That's a solid 2 drops, and the fact that it synergizes so well with Grand Magister Rommath makes it pretty good!

Im tempted to say that this might be good, but more likely its too inconsistent to ever be. You'll still play this, but I dont think the win rates going to be anywhere near good.
The pool is too big and my guess is that you'll rather just be playing other stuff, from skeletons, freezes, to burn and draw cards. Besides, is spells from other classes better than mage spells in a mage deck?
Quite the versatile guy. You could play this in big spell mage, hoping to get a different spell school to recast the spell with Varden or ofc slot into the new casino mage archetype pushed this expansion. It's also an elemental, if that counts for anything as mage has been known to play elemental archetypes from time to time. Only thing holding it back is it's rarity.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Battle Vicar, but you can discover ANY spell with it AND has mana cheat. This is very good. You can slot this into casino mage, Big spell mage, Spooky and Hero power mages might experiment with it as well. Additionally you can use this in order to find a shadow, holy or nature spell to repeat with Magister Dawngrasp or get +1 card draw with Multicaster. This seems like a really good card.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
That's obviously a very large pool to discover from. Hopefully discount will ease the pain if it whiffs.
