Gonna have to respect cards like this, even though Im about 70% sure this card would never see any competitive play in the next 2 years.
Arena giant for sure, because at very least you'll likely get a good card out of it. In standard however, we're asking why not just play the legendary you want in your deck? Because surely the chances of a second copy, or anything useful for that fact, is a slim one not worth risking for.
Very strong in Arena I think, and maybe in Constructed too. The amount of neutral legendaries is pretty low since we only get 7 per set, so there's a good chance to find something from your class which is usually good.
On the other hand, what's the point of wasting a card slot only to potentially get a decent card from your class
While I certainly don't feel like evaluating the pool of legendaries, I suspect you won't get a truly helpful card that often.
Most legendaries in Death Knight are pretty useful. I wouldn’t sleep too hard on cards like this when Discover is basically a DK mechanic atm lol.
Might seem bad, but in a fresh post-rotation meta this is a really nice value generator for control decks thanks to the smaller card pools. This also looks nice in DK, IF this can bypass the rune requirements. (Which i guess it will be able to.)
Without class bias in discovers, you're just as likely to hit the weaker neutrals rather than your class's powerhouses.
