Its probably not as good as it seems, unless by some miracle you can align a whole group of divine shielded minions out of nowhere.
The thing is, this card may just suffer from redundancy. You're likely going to be running mechs in pally no matter what (because of magnetic), so there's something to be said about just playing Azsharan Mooncatcher instead.
Only good thing about this card is in fact that its a murloc, and so your purator will tutor this out for an additonal draw, on a tribe that's largely missing from paladin. But even after drawn Im not exactly sure what this card offers.
They definitely seem to be pushing a divine shield heavy archetype. We'll see if it goes anywhere.
I mean, as a standalone minion it's somewhat weak, but it's basically Savage Roar for Paladin, which is something the class has never had access to.
Really, it all depends how easily you can flood with Divine Shield Minions and how easy it is to keep those shields up.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
At worst this is a 3 mana 4/2 divine shield if you have no divine shields on your minions. Which means it probably competes with Azsharan Mooncatcher However the divine shield buff makes it stand out, and the murloc tribe might be important in pure paladin decks.
Edit: Thanks to Lothraxion the Redeemed this might be a strong finisher or burst option in (pure) dude paladin decks.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Feel like they are trying to compensate for removing Paladin's secrets ; a metric-ton of Divine shields is the substitute!
