Love it, but the support around it looks a little bit awkward. Consistency is not going to be its strength, but then again, we are in a 4-set meta now so discovers are generally better.
That being said, maybe Vexallus can actually be useful now
Cool card & Design, should see play without being too oppressive. On a side note, does anyone understands the flavor text - Always remember P.L.U.R.: Peace, Laser-beams, Unity, Respect. - I have no clue what's the joke here ... Care to enlighten me?
Okay then, what ways are there to cast this more than twice? Minion battlecries don't count as you casting it, do they? Maybe discover, but I don't know how consistent that would be.
The real PLUR is Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect.
I think its the slogan during the hippie movement.
Its obviously meant to be a combo card, because on its own its just weaker than Frozen Touch in every way.
Imagine building around this card, getting past the convoluted mess that is arcane mage, and then its still not a guarantee that its going to do more face damage than frozen touch, a proven card that is absolutely broken. Why bother trying to get more copies of Lightshow when I can get more copies of that broken card instead.
Seems like a good combo card. Repeat this a bunch, get more with Rewind and Infinitize the Maxitude (Only this expansion, cuz of the small spell pool.) Also you can use Grand Magister Rommath as a finisher if you recast/discovered a bunch of Lightshows.
First one: bad. Second one: pretty decent. Third and beyond: uh oh.
Rommath casting all of the discovered copies: uh oh, UH OH, UH OH
