Its basically Arcanologist except with poor stats. But the greatest damning part of this card is that it only draws at the end of the turn, so its not even strictly better than arcanologist despite being 1 mana cheaper.
Maybe in hunter, because that class cant draw as efficiently and this curves right into secret on 2, which may or may not be what you're looking to do. In mage however, its competing with so many other cards I cant see it. Even in dedicated secret decks this card is simply not doing enough. Cant for the life of me understand why team5 didn't just make it a battlecry that draws a secret.
So a 1 drop that guarantees a specific draw, and if it's not dealt with it can draw another card. This seems nuts. In standard i think it won't be that good until there is more secret support.
In wild though.... I'm not sure if i even want to touch that mode anymore after this mini set. (Secret mage is one of my most hated decks of all time.)
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
A first turn threat that needs to be dealt with or it will cause more trouble down the road... Peasant got widely overlooked and then vastly utilized in a number of decks. Yeah, this only really impacts two classes which could limit the exposure a bit. But it is a 1 mana to draw a specific card and will cause most people to at least sacrifice 2 mana on their turn to nuke it with a hero power. It's a solid card. Far from a required card in most decks, but it totally will see play
