Ok, it's so important to look at ALL the reveals before commenting! I thought this was garbage because it's for classes that do not Excavate. Then I saw that Paladin and Shaman now have their own Excavate cards. SO I think this is a solid card, easy to meet the condition, and a nice cheap board clear.

It's a solid reward for Excavate Paladin...but what about Shaman? If you play The Azerite Murloc before Finley, Finley will be Evolved and his effect lost. But the longer you wait on the ultimate payoff, the less opportunities you have to benefit from the Mana-cheating. Not to mention all the other synergistic minions you'll be transforming.

You're taking a deck that wants cohesiveness and turning it into randomness; that is pretty stupid anti-synergy.

Its playable in shaman because shaman doesnt really have lots of removal options that basically nuke the opponent's board regardless of conditions. In pally however, its a hit and miss simply because I cant see a world where paladin plays excavate cards nor can I see a world where they need removal as strong as this one.

Still a strong card that needs to be respected, but I feel its not good enough a payoff to start playing excavate in both classes, but allowances would be made to shaman more so than paladin.

"Equality is just an OK card. What it really needs is a transform effect on top of the backbreaking debuff," said literally no one, ever.

Insanely strong reward for excavating, especially considering this gives paladin a way to polymorph/hex an entire enemy board. For shaman it's also really good, but a bit less so because shaman's excavate reward is one of the weakest if not the weakest one. (But probably the 2nd most fun one. Rogue has the most fun one i.m.o.)

This will see a lot of play.

RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

I'm walking back my previous snark. This card is absolutely necessary to the current meta, as Miner Paladin helps keep that ridiculous Druid Combo deck in check, all thanks to brave Sir Finley.
