There's a new Pokémon TCG Pocket event currently underway that lets you take a glance at one of the cards when you Wonder Pick. Titled the Sneak Peek Campaign, you'll be able to look at one of the cards to see what it is before making your pick, so you have a better chance of picking the card you want (from 1 in 5 to 1 in 4, if the card you looked at isn't the one you wanted). The event will last until the 4th of April.

How It Works

You go to the Wonder Pick screen and choose a pick you want. Not all of them are eligible for it, so the next few steps may not pop up. If the pick is eligible, you'll see the following screen and the glow around the cards will turn gold:

Next, you'll be able to pick a card. You can change the selection, as there's an extra button to confirm it. It will look like this:

Once you've picked your card, you'll get to see it for a few seconds. Remember what it was, as this screen goes away pretty fast:

And now you get to pick the card. If you managed to see the one you wanted, snag that, otherwise pick something else. This is a pretty neat system, and it's possible the devs are testing the waters before a full release later down the line, but it does make Wonder Picking take longer.
