What Are You Playing? - Nobel November 2025

I'm currently on my way to achievement grind my way through all of the WRC games. Or at least, the ones I can get.

There are some that I can't get anymore because online achievements are a sin and should not exist.

I have found my PS5 and hopefully I will get that set up at this house and start playing it again.

  • I've been quite busy with the website and life so not a whole lot of gaming has been taking place so far this month, but, I did play the demo for Saelig and was quite impressed.

It's an RPG that has simulation and business management elements. I made my first character a super thief by taking anything that would give me a boost to thieving. It took a moment to figure out how I could actually put my skills to the test, but when I did, wow. It was a good idea to start in a larger town!

I kept getting caught stealing though since my stealth wasn't too good... but I was having such success that I was able to pay the fines off without an issue... until it became one. I was caught being bad, and I got exiled from the town. So with not much time left in the demo, I decided to hell with everyone in this town, this is my town. I started burning down all the buildings and most importantly, the other farm plots so that my workers on the farm wouldn't have any competition anymore. As I was doing this, barbarians attacked the town so everyone was occupied with them or running away from them so the fires burned half the town to the ground.

Then I got caught afterward. I didn't have the money to pay the fine so I got sent to the pit. Well, I don't know how long my sentence was for, but my demo ended about 20 minutes later and I just laughed at the insane situation I put myself in and how silly the pit was. I tried to use the unstuck tool in the pit and it teleported me to the top of the pit but I still was unable to move... as expected since I had been jailed. Winter came and that was that for my demo time.

It is definitely worth the purchase, it's $17.49 CAD and I can see having more fun with it.

I also played a couple rounds of Balatro while eating lunch yesterday and finally did the Speedrun achievement which just involves skipping most of the rounds. I got very lucky.

  • I have been playing No Man's Sky and enjoying it quite a bit. The Corvette update was a great addition that "relaunched" the game to a lot of new players and I hope they keep expanding it. They have been for almost 10 years, for free, and made the game quite a bit better. So if you like space exploration and ship building, give it a try :)

    • I read "Corvette update" and got excited because you made me think they were adding a Chevrolet Corvette to the game.

      I don't play the game. I don't know what it has. ;D

      • It is a space exploration game, but people have made planes, tanks, even churches as space ships :D Maybe you could make a Chevy too :D

  • Im on my usual comfort rotation: rocket league, tag game, and some random puzzle game on my laptop.

  • This is a really good DKC-inspired 2D platformer.

I've beaten the main game. All I have left are the "are levels hitless" and the speedrun achievement.

Speedrunning achievements are usually one of the worst types, but I don't reckon this one will be too hard.

  • And now I can add Kaze to my list of perfect Steam games.

The achievement for beating the game in less than 2 hours is not difficult. I had a few really stupid deaths, and I still beat the game in less than 1:10.
