Invocation of Frost is having its mana cost increased to 2, from 1, in a patch later this week.
How do you feel about this change?
Once these changes are live, players will be able to disenchant the adjusted cards for their full Arcane Dust value for two weeks.

Welcome to the site!
This makes flame imp and the 1 2/2 much more strong since sometimes you were a little scared to play them turn one against shaman. I think the change is a fair one when you compare it to arcane shot/holy smite and glacial shard.
Your face is already dead
Glacial Shard says thanks.
I foresee the end of Galakrond Shaman as a tier 1 deck. This makes some of the most powerful combos (think: Zentimo) much harder to do now.
Too much.
It's just too much at this point. Galakrond Shaman has pretty much been shot from every angle. It was too strong, that much is true, but the Dragon's Pack change should have been enough.
Now the Frog build is essentially pointless because there's no good 1-mana spell to replace this to fuel the train, meaning without the draw power it all goes back to running Mana Tide Totem and hoping to draw into your powerplays in time before your opponent'S snowball you to death.
I'm saying this, because this is the only expansion where Shaman still has most of its powerful legendaries like Shudderwock and Electra Stormsurge. Without those Galakrond Shaman basically turns upside down, from a deck that was too good at everything at any time, to a deck that accomplishes almost nothing most of the time.
Either way, Frog Galakrond was fun while it lasted, now I guess we go back to boring midrange builds.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
That's a pretty fair Nerf I think. 2 Mana deal 2 to a Minion and freeze something is still pretty good.
...Or maybe this is just a pathetic Attempt at putting an End to the absolute Dominance of Freeze-Shaman! Ha, by Moorabi! How I pitty these simple Mortals!

Except Earth Shock, which was already being played at 1, and is at 2 in some decks.
of course but you don't usually play Earthshock at your leisure to cycle Frog. It's there to counter Rogue mostly and to serve as redundancy.
Just double Earthshock will not be enough for the deck to work and LIghtning Bolt has no synergy with the rest of the deck (neither has any other 1-mana spell except maybe Blazing Invocation)

Well a 2/1 rusher is the murloc boar rider and the freeze is worth about 0.5 mana and the invoke.. well it's worth a bit more so this card is still fairly strong in my opinion.
also it now can fetch other cards with Spirit of the Frog which is interesting actually.
at this point all the shaman galakround cards were nerfed except galakround itself.
I think that this was balanced due to the elementals that get summoned have Rush. If they didn't have Rush, it wouldn't have been an issue.
This should have been included in the first round of nerfs instead of my boy Sludge Slurper. Of the two cards, Invocation of Frost is the one plainly cheating the mana curve, not the 1 mana 2/1 with overload.
This mainly hits the Spirit of the Frog/Zentimo build of Galakrond Shaman, which depended on this card for huge cheap swings. While this nerf pretty much renders that version of the deck unplayable, I think it's for the better. Going off with Spirit of the Frog to get a huge Mutate/Invocation of Frost/Earthen Might swing, or a cheap 4-mana freeze 3 minions get 3 2/1 rush minions and upgrade Galakrond at least once with Zentimo simply felt too unfair to play against.
