I want to play now, but the game seems to mock me. I can't get into action because of the "Service error" bug. Is there any solution except sending a ticket to Riot?

Just wait! The servers are likely overloaded due to tons of traffic.
Got a response from Riot Support a few minutes ago. They do say servers are overloaded.
As with every online game ever launched since the beginning of time ...
But it's a little strange in this case since they knew on the 19th exactly how many people they'd be letting in today.
I'm sure they have a plan, though. Right?
In any case, it's always the best kind of problem to have -- an overabundance of interest in the game!
It isn't that easy, unfortunately. They can definitely have a pretty good idea based on how many people they're planning on logging in right away based off previous data, but until the moment hits, they don't know how many people are really going to be on.
We've had similar issues with Out of Cards. I see how the site performs every day and where people are during higher periods of usage, but one time when people really spread out on the site, it caused us some issues that never even popped up on my radar.
But yeah, it is a good thing for them to have some temporary problems, as long as they don't become the only topic being talked about :D
