So I finally gave battle scars a go, and I've been EXTREMELY surprised how successful it is. And my deck list is not even refined... Maybe I've just gotten lucky; maybe the archetype is so alien to everyone that their misplaying. Regardless, I thought I'd share.
How's everyone else doing post-patch? Any off-meta decks you've been pleasantly surprised by?

You should checkout MegaMogwai's list:

He explains about how he has choosen the cards in the deck, the deck should be stronger now with the buff to it and the nerf to it's biggest counter.
Been trying a yeti deck (labeled "nunu deck") to no success it seems strong in theory a 3 mana 5/5 and an ocational 1 mana 5/5 but it's slow and lack tools.. maybe I should try to mix it with another region (gone mono freljord.. PROBABLY noxus for the card draw) IDK it might have potential..
M0gwai was my inspiration, actually! I started there and adapted to my existing collection as best I could, using sparingly using wildcards where absolutely necessary. His is a lot more 3x and a lot cheaper cards in general, and he loves the potential draw from Trifarian Assessor. My deck has a wider mana curve with more late-game threats: I REALLY liked the added punch that Legion Veteran, Battering Ram, and Kato The Arm provide, and Scarmaiden never feels bad to get on the board.
That YouTube video is 2 weeks old; in it he says he's going to tinker around with it more but I haven't seen this archetype in any of his vids since. Do you know if he's done any improvements?
In a subsequent video (but before the balance patch), he mentioned that it crashed hard when he started running into a lot of elusives.
I think it's doing much better after the patch, because I have definitely been seeing more of it.
those r some random cards.
but u should prolly craft 3x crimson curator asap in that deck. and the 4 mana 5/5 dude.
Lol yeah; I'm F2P so when I'm trying something new I usually substitute a lot before committing wildcards. Plus, playing with 1-ofs helps me evaluate how good something feels before I commit to it.
I've refined this deck a lot since Wednesday, but then I started losing hard with it so I started experimenting again. I updated the OoC version to reflect my current decklist. Honestly, I think this archetype just isn't strong enough for the current meta. Like the Crimson Awakener guy you mention: OK, he's a good threat on Round 4, but then what? Aggro decks already have you below 10 HP by then, and Control decks are fine stalling a vanilla 5/5 while their value comes online. Meanwhile, his played effect does about as much harm as good--you almost always lose at least 1 unit.
If anyone has had any recent success with this archetype I'd love to hear how they're achieving it, but personally I've really soured on it over this week.
you shouldn't be losing any units to it
get rid of all ur 1 health units
stack everything that has synergy with taking dmg
and profit
