The selected deck is not valid for this game mode

I'm playing wild, how could any deck not be valid for wild?

Earlier I was trying to play one of the warrior decks of mine I hadn't played in a wild. Something wacky happened and it totally emptied my deck of all of its cards until I gave in to it wanting me to auto fill the deck. I did that, removed the random trash cards & recompleted my actual deck, but now the title message pops up when I try to play the deck in wild.

Anyone know what gives?

Did you copy this in with a deck code?  Could you try remaking the list from scratch?  Just completely delete the deck that's in there currently and either try importing again or remaking it?

You could also copy the deck into a new slot and delete the deck slot that is giving you trouble.  That might help.

Quick!  Someone give me something clever to write here.

One thing Hearthstone gets right code-wise is that the server doesn't trust the client. Therefore, the server will validate the deck when a game is started, so even if the client is buggy or hacked, games with invalid decks will be prevented from being started.

There are many possible reasons for a deck to be invalid in Wild: it may contain the wrong number of cards, more than the allowed number of copies of a single card, class cards of the wrong class, non-collectible cards etc.

Copy-pasting the deck code as a new deck, like Thonson suggested, might fix the issue. If it doesn't, then please post the deck code; it would be interesting to see what is going on.

I think it's just a weird game glitch? I've has that message pop up once or twice when I start queueing a match, and I just dismiss it and hit Play again, and it works fine. Just random game weirdness.

I had the same experience as you, Lyra, though that occurred one or two weeks ago.

When I reached Legend and wanted to update the decklist in OoC, I clicked on my deck (Quest N'zoth Priest) and tabbed out. When I returned to my client, the list was empty for some reason. But then i just copy/pasted the deck code and so far I didn't encounter any problems. I also had the same message which you mentioned in the OP, but, oddly enough, it disappeared after reselecting my deck.

Many people also encountered the same issue, but in standard. I guess the new patch brought some bugs with it:

So, yeah, try building that deck from scratch or paste the deck code if you have it.
