I climbed to diamond 3 with highlander mage and was about to hit 2 but now im back down to 1 after having 4 demon hunters in a row that I went 1-3 against because the aggro version is very favored against highlander mage. What's a deck that can counter them besides egg warrior?

Aggro Demon Hunter
Have you tried some sort of Control Preist? Or maybe a Murloc Paladin and fight fire with fire? I had great success in the days after the DH came out by playing a Control Dragon Priest. 🤫
Handlock, face hunter, egg warrior, spell druid, spell mage all have a good chance against tempo dhunters.
Just bear in mind that dhunters are in that unique position that if it draws really well, they can still pull a win from any position and against any deck. Also, decks that counter dhunters tend to suck against other archtypes, so there's that as well.
Its not a joke that the best deck to rank up right now is still just tempo dhunters. If you're making that final push, might as well succumb to the dark side just like the rest of us.
Rez Priest
I've got a good Winrate with Highlander Priest against DH. Breath of the Infinite, Holy Nova and often Times Shadow Madness are great against their early Turns (especially Satyr Overseer), Soul Mirror or Galakrond, the Unspeakable are perfect to counter Priestess of Fury, and then there's also generally good Cards like Penance or Convincing Infiltrator.
I play face hunter and my current record is 27-8 against DH (most are aggro though).
Never mind just hit legend with Secret Galakrond Rogue
Congrats! I was about to say I found Rogue handled them pretty well if you Mulligan for back stab
good job. It's one of the few decks that can keep up in terms of tempo, but you still need to get a good start or else you're probably doomed.
I'm playing a Zoo Warlock and I usually win against DH unless they have Altruis.
Honestly, Bomb Warrior spells doom for them relatively easily. You are able to deal with their board with all the tricks from Risky Skipper, you are able to continually draw due Ancharrr, and you can drop lots of bombs into their deck for them to draw into, which honestly is what that class does, it cycles heavily through its own deck. But that is my experience.
