  • Silas, Shudderwock, and Yogg!

Personally  I would replace Baleful Banker and Loot Hoarder with some other cheap battlecry minions but I don't play wild so I don't know if that sounds dumb

Other than that I love the deck

I am not sure how much this card will see play from a practical standpoint. You need to have a lot of minions on the board for this to work, but if you are playing a token druid you aren't going to want something as slow as this.

You've just described Soul of the Forest to a T.

How many images are allowed in this weeks submission? We definetly need the Hero card and the Hero Power, but some hero cards need more, like weapons or tokens or both... Think Uther of the Ebon Blade with a grand total of 7 images!

I... ehem... Tried to go with Illidan as well. Not sure if the fact that it's a Demon Hunter card from before AoO will put some people off.

EDIT: Reduced mana cost to 7 because it was incredibly overpriced at 9.

Rush didn't exist in Knights of the Frozen Throne either

Well, this is unprecedented: we have ourselves a tie! Congrats to MathU and grumpymonk for breaking our system lol

  • New Druid Minion - Greybough

If you are lucky enough to get this in your random 30 for Arena picks, this spells auto-problem for any opponent.  Other than that, there needs to be some deathrattle support for Druid, which doesn't really exist.

Hero cards are nearly impossible to balance, so this comp will be something else.

Illidarminator Zaladris gives you a permanent ability to attack as much as you can every turn (although you can still only attack heroes once), but this comes with losing the ability to gain Attack on command with your Hero Power. You're now forced to use cards to gain Attack.

  • Holding Out For A Hero - Card Design Competition Discussion Thread

I have two already made from other comps and the like, but if you don't like them I'll think of something new:

DK Morgl is there for Freeze Shaman, and DK Liadrin was my attempt to make Bolvar, Fireblood and Light's Sorrow better cards. Uther of the Ebon Blade didn't really do much for the rest of the Paladin's set, being its own win condition.

  • Darkmoon Quest Druid

Lunar Eclipse replaces the Wrath slot

But early game is the biggest problem after that you should be pretty good I think basically you're hoping to pull off the heal combo so the aggro bursting you down early wouldn't matter. But it's easier said than done.

Any effect that lasts for the rest of the game is going to be dangerous. This will definitely be played in Odd Paladin, and it may see play in other midrange lists that are able to summon multiple Recruits in a turn.

    it defenitly will NOT.

Its to slow, doesnt help in matchups they need help against and is just winmore in ones theyre good in already.

And its to freaking slow a doesnt set up lethal and doesnt effect CURRENT board

I'm actually in total agreement with Zyella. I thought long and hard about what this card has to offer to current lists, and while initially the effect looks really flashy and dangerous given its Odd cost, I'm actually leaning on the side towards it being too weak.

I'm a bit of an Odd Paladin junkie myself, so these are my two cents about it. 5-mana 5/5 that has no immediate board impact is INCREDIBLY slow in an archetype like Odd Paladin. For comparison, Loatheb is much more impactful on the same turn with any semblance of a board (which Odd Paladin often has by then), and it doesn't even see play in every Odd list, but rather as a tech option. Quartermaster is also a signficantly better option on the same turn should you even have just a couple of dudes on board. You also have cards like Blessing of Authority and Faceless Corruptor, both of which impact the board way more than this card does on the same turn.

Sure, this card might be able to strengthen your boards post-turn 5 should your previous ones have been wiped out, but I think even then this would only benefit you in slower matchups, and not by much given how insane Reno and other control decks tend to be with their sustain/removal/Taunts. In these matchups, you're better off with cards such as Quartermaster and/or Blessing of Authority in order to push current boards into a winning state. I think there's also something to be said about Steward of Darkshire, a card which already provides what is basically the same effect, albeit for a lower cost. Additionally, I can't ever see this being a good card in Aggro matchups because of how slow it is.

I'm definitely on the side of this card being overhyped by almost everyone on here with regards to Odd Pally. I'd love to be wrong, but I'm highly skeptical of the card becoming anywhere near a staple as other people have suggested.

Silver Hand Recruit Pally in Standard, on the other hand, seems to be well on its way to becoming an archetype given Blizz's pushing of it. I don't think Lothraxion does enough for the archetype (Standard just needs more ways to summon dudes), so I'm still not incredibly optimistic, but we'll see how it shapes out. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a few expansions for the deck to kick in.

Competition Theme: Holding Out For A Hero

I need a Hero! It's gotta be strong, it's gotta be fast and it's gotta be... someone we haven't seen before.

    • You must create a Hero Card
      • Remember that all existing Hero Cards come with a change of Hero Power too!
    • You cannot create a Hero Card featuring a character that already has a Hero Card

FrostyFeet is in need of a saviour this week, so we'd better send in some Heroes to help!

As always, I can be reached through Discord or here on the site via PM if you have any issues to report.

  • New Rogue Minion - Tenwu of the Red Smoke

    Quote From KANSAS

This card is so flexible and useful with so many different decks and archetypes I really can't imagine this card not seeing play. This is rogue's version of Gorgon Zola.

I personally would have said Zola was Neutral's version of Shadowcaster, or just rogue shenanigans with duplication/bouncing in general, but hey ho. I agree it is almost too solid and flexible to not see play, especially if the meta encourages value over aggro again.

This with Kronx and double shadowstep equals triple Kronx' effect on 10 mana. With 4 smaller minions on board it's 24 damage, or 15 on empty board. I guess they'll have to nerf or HoF Shadowstep soon :(

Well Kronx will rotate out next year anyway, so there's not much reason to send Shadowstep with him. In the meantime, I doubt a 4 card 10 mana combo that isn't an OTK is likely to sound many alarm bells.

This plus Hadronox = infinite taunts?

  • Malevolent Strike is a New Rogue Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

Vendetta gets played, so there is a demand for removal in Rogue.

Sap isn't always better: for battlecry minions, you'd rather remove them than return them to hand. It depends on the meta; currently we have a lot of battlecries, but with Darkmoon deathrattles could make a comeback.

  • Malevolent Strike is a New Rogue Card Revealed for Hearthstone's Darkmoon Faire Expansion

They're nerfing the Basic and Classic sets to make sure there is more variation in decks as cards come in and out of Standard. So yes, they are weakening the ever-present cards while still putting powerful cards in new expansions, but that is deliberate.

  • New Druid Minion - Greybough

I am not sure how much this card will see play from a practical standpoint. You need to have a lot of minions on the board for this to work, but if you are playing a token druid you aren't going to want something as slow as this. And most control druids don't have enough minions for this to continually resurrect in the way you want. Also, in a plenty of cases your opponent may have ways of killing your other minions before this one, making it very easy to disrupt the chain. There may be some mid-range type deck that uses this guy, Hadronox, and N'Zoth, the Corruptor to get a bunch of extra beef in the late game.
