For (3) mana, I feel like the buff exceed the sacrifice you have to make, and given that they are printing new healing/lifestealing cards for paladin, I don't see why this wouldn't be experimented with; Nice tool for paladin!
Just starting with the statline alone, this is bound to see play as a good 1 drops, then the fact that it doubles deathrattle effect(s) put on it makes it even more likely to shine. Not a fan of that last Shaman's batch of cards, but I can see how this guy will be used
It synergize with a lot of old shaman which hardly saw play until now.
It's an synergistic undead card.
It has anti-synergy with shaman's evolve trope (which I despise).
It's not that easy to abuse : it needs to die to give its payoff, which either require your opponent's "cooperation", or to spend your own ressource onto. And it's hard countered by silence and polymorph effect.
i dont think i like a deathrattle archetype on shaman out of all other classes that already specialize on deathrattles. if they wanted to have that but not use hunter or priest again they couldve gone for Warlock which has some overall recurring archetypes using the keyword.
its especially weird for shaman when you consider its pretty much the ONLY class that has an entire archetype focused around transformation which is the opposite of what works well with deathrattles. i still like the keyword so i will probably have fun with this but i dont think it was a good class choice.
I dont know, but it sounds very much more scarier on paper than it likely would in practice.
Because most decks that run removal can deal with 3 health on turn 1 and even if you see four 3/2s on turn 3 there's still ways to deal with it, I dont see the game ending just because of this combo.
And of course, if starfish is everywhere then this just does nothing. Or are we imagining shaman running Lightning Bolt just to crack their own stuff?
In your case, you should definitely be upgrading. 500 is near the beginning of Pool 3, which has 76 cards (currently). It's unlikely, besides the Season Pass card (which gets added to pool 3 two months after being added to the game with the Premium Pass), that Pool 3 will get a huge influx of cards anytime soon - instead the developers are likely to add any non-Season Pass cards to the game as part of Pools 4 and 5. Since you probably won't get any Pool 4 or 5 cards until you've collected all of Pool 3, you're safe to upgrade without worrying that you're muddying the waters or missing out on future gains.
Looks good on paper, but let's be real here this card is shit.
If you have a board, then surely the correct card to play would be stuff like Bloodlust, or Nofin Can Stop Us, or even Bioluminescence, so why bother playing a card that allows your opponent to interact with your board, as opposed to an instant buff for a win?
The only way this card can be redeemed is that shaman gets a card that triggers deathrattles immediately. And by the looks of the cards they might very well get it because if they dont then this is straight up the worst legendary by a fair mile.
Honestly, I dont quite like shaman's theme this time round, because it seems very highrolling. Plenty of ifs, and shaman being what it is today I dont like its chances in the new meta. Seems like if they get the exact curve then they have a good advantage or otherwise they'd just fold.
The current one seems to be Scourge Troll into Deathweaver Aura on turn 2. That's two very exact cards, but the end result can create non-games against certain classes to the extent that the correct move would be to ignore their board until you can starfish on 4. In fact, that might as well be the theme for shaman, just play Smothering Starfish and end the game.
Rotgill may easily be the worst legendary Ive seen so far. Only a board deathrattle trigger can elevate it, and even then not by a game winning amount.
3000 ???? :) woa! Btw does anyone know what happens with new added cards in the future vs collection level ? I am near "collection cache" at 500 ? Makes sense to upgrade more considering new incoming cards ? Or it is better to wait ?
Not only will this flavor never be a part of Shaman again, it directly contradicts an existing Shaman archetype and makes no attempt to harmonize the two. (Transformations do not play nice with enchantments.) This is typical of Shaman and Demon Hunter both and it's aggravating.
There's a missed opportunity here to make Shaman -- big on nature, and the undead are mostly unnatural -- have a hostile or controlling take on the undead, with anti-Reborn and pro-Reborn stuff both.
New Paladin Minion - Sanguine Soldier
Aggressive (1) drop should help Paladin compete for the board early on.
You can tell they are pushing for Paladin to be viable this expansion
New Paladin Spell - Seal of Blood
For (3) mana, I feel like the buff exceed the sacrifice you have to make, and given that they are printing new healing/lifestealing cards for paladin, I don't see why this wouldn't be experimented with; Nice tool for paladin!
New Paladin Spell - Feast and Famine
They are really trying to over-compensate the sad state in which they left Paladin in - this will help
New Shaman Spell - Shadow Suffusion
Be honest - you had to look up what Suffusion means - I know I did!
New Shaman Minion - Scourge Troll

It's a wild bet :
There's 6 chaman cards in wild (and two neutral) that can give deathrattle to minions.
Amongst them two are nature spell; one support murloc; and one support totem.
So that new deathrattle package may actually fit alongside some preexisting archetype.

also, depending on consistency Spirit Mount

I like that little dude.

4 synergies in card. (2 tribe + battlecry + the new deathrattle theme)
Okay-statted.
It's bound to see play at some point.
I like that kind of design.

Not on turn 3 at least because of overload, but yes, there is tons of follow up. It makes Implock look like a Control deck by comparison

DH theming is typically all over the place (and terrible) but they may yet have a surfeit of Wretched cards for them coming up.

It's funny, because Feast or Famine actually has a Wretched on the artwork, and they've said that DH is representing the Wretched this set.
New Shaman Minion - Harkener of Dread
A bit slow, a tad clunky, but protects your face twice as much as regular taunt.
This can help Shaman play something else than aggro-decks
