I'ts interesting if you can influence the situation (for example re roll map affixes as in POE). In D3 however, everything is random and this just requires more fishing. I'm not sure fishing is "interesting" and a game style to pursue.

I replied to the hotfix comment by /u/Nevalistis and told her the same thing with the video link included. No comments/replies yet.
The only window for a possibility of a fix is this upcoming 3-4 day period before they all leave for their Christmas break. The other option is that they work on it this week but don't touch it now and they fix it when they come back after the New Year and just before the S9 start week. I hope they have another hotfix up in their sleeve but I am not too optimistic.
I main WD and if they don't fix it, I will be heartbroken too.

TLDR: Another hotfix is coming to fix the interaction with Ring of Emptiness, hopefully sometime this week. This should help bring The Barber back up again.

Rare monsters with the Juggernaut affix now take 30% more damage from all sources
Interesting way to deal with the Juggernaut problem. Is it enough? It balances out the loss of Bane Of The Trapped, but some builds will still have trouble, for example Hammer Jammers don't work.
I'm really interested to see how it plays out. We're keeping an eye on it for sure, but (and CAVEAT: this is a personal opinion) I think it's interesting that some affixes are more or less desirable than others based on build. Your "perfect storm" is different than someone else's, and maybe it's easier to weather if you're in a group with varied ways to deal with different affixes.
